#3Human athletic performance will be out of this world in 30 years....
On ESPN they had a guy who is going to the combine and he has a 39 inch vertical at 350 lbs.
That is insaneComment -

#4lot of big big olympic and powerlifter dudes have high verts like that...
when you can squat 850 for reps, you can push that 300 lb body up pretty far I guess..Comment -

#22thats probably true
but im not a pro athlete either
i will try that, maybe it is ****ing hard
i dunno, just didnt seem as hard as benching 225 x39, maybe bc i bench 2x a week but swim like once a yr
ill try it, i predict i can get my ankles out of the water as long as the pool is less than 3 feet deep
how deep was his pool?Comment -

#27ive never squatted in my life. i cant htink of anything worse for your body , long term
just lift and jog is all i have done for 15 years, and play baseball and basketball. i have never tried jumping out of a pool, i would think its impossible unless the h20 level is lowComment -

#28squat jumps would be worse for the body..... lol
I've done them too...
I've been squatting for gosh... 18-19 years... never had a problem
now benching... there is a dangerous exerciseComment -

#33best was 545x8 but those were only to parallal.... last summer I got up to 335 x10 for 5 sets of ATG squats (ass to the ground)
when it comes to joints, running can be much much worse for your knees.. the amount of impact on each step is unreal
benching IMO is much worse on joints long term too.... not to mention maybe the most dangerous exercise to do period... especially for such an over-rated exerciseComment -

#34i dont really do bench anymore, i will use machines that simulate it is what i should have said. i did bench from age 17 thru like 23 though. i dont think its dangerous, unless you mean without a spotter?
what is the reason to squat? wont it just wreck your knees and back? especially ATG as you mentioned?Comment -

#35haha, the machines with the rubber bands
I could bench about 300 on them when I was in high schoolComment
