It does not work, I know guys on their 3rd marriages because they are heavy gamblers. It is not accepted with women. I got married at 18, 20 and 22 and they just did not work and had a few girlfriends since then and it is too much work to alwys lie to them. Also way too much committent and you cannot watch the games on Sunday. I use to remember when I was married and we went to the Mother In Law's house on Sundays which was fine but every fukkin time the diner started it was kickoff to the games and could not fukkin stand it and missed way too much of the action. No TV's were allowed during diner which is bull shit, a few times I suggested to move the table into the family room so we can watch the games while we were eating and everyone thought that was stupid. I eventually divorced the Bitch because of the Sunday committent and I wanted to watch the games instead of fukkin bull shit all day with the family.

Secondly you always have to hide money, sneak the bets in and pretend not to get excited while watching sports, I remember so many times the chick would be next to me and I pretended to be sleeping during the games but was fukkin sweating the game out by listening to it. I had to appear to be relaxed and show no interest.

Also sneaking papers uner my shirt ( The NY Post, Sports Eye, Nevada Schedule Books) was a pain in the ass and had to hide any gambling material in my pad all the time.

Sneaking was too much work and I wanted to live free and gamble. Now it is great, no women, just once n a while I pay hookers from Newark to take care of me.

I bet most guys here are single like me or if married hiding their gambling from their wives which is like a second job.

Married and sort of hiding it...LOL She knows I bet but not how much. got a secret bank account so she doesn't find out. betting online has made it much easier then betting with locals though. I can act like I am just online watching the scores or messing with fantasy football instead of sneaking off to call in my bets.

Younger girls these days are more understanding.. My girlfriend cheers on the teams that I have money on.. I've been dating her for 2 years and I really can say I don't think its ever caused a problem in our relationship.. I have a fulltime job and probally spend 30 hrs a week on handicapping.. Don't get me wrong there are younger girls that will have a problem with it..

My wife is anti-sports period but that's just b/c she has no interest in them. However, she doesn't give a damn about me gambling b/c when I get on a hot streak, I slip her a nickel to go shopping with. I bet you are telling your wife you bet $25 a game and your really betting $200, I think she knows this already though and waiting for the right moment to end it. Gambling does effect your personality also which puts another strain on the marriage. When I lose I am lucky if I smile once per week.

What happens when you have to hide the loans pal from your wife? I have been there before, paid off loan managers so they would not send mail to the home and payment books to the home. How do you go to the banks and gets loans without your wife knowing? I hid it pretty good but always one loan eventually got through the mail and I was questioned and made up lies why I needed the loan. The best one I use to use is "my buddy needed it" and I did not want to touch the family funds and pretended to apologize.

How about the best part when you get nabbed for good and she finds out you owe 20 Dimes out and then you fake cry and say you will never gamble again. I did it all and use to lie about going to GA but instead wasd at the fukkin track taking shots with $100 Doubles. Its all a lie when your married.

My wife knows I wager. She sits right here and watches me cap the games on the computer and with the preview books I bought last month.

She told me she dont care that I do it as long as I dont tap into our funds. Which I dont, as I have a large enough bankroll to handle all my bets.

Hell, I even let her do one of the 5 "pick the pros" contest cards I got. She went 8-7 this past weekend (Just NFL in this contest).

So if you have to hide it, it will probably come up and bite you in the azz later down the road.

Hiding it was half the fun and was a gamble itself. I remember when I was 21 and was suppose to be working everyday I went to the track instead and my ex wifes dad nabbed me a few times as he use to go but was a small timer and told me I do not belong there. I had a $400 win bet going at the time on a 3-5 shot and gave him the ticket as a gift and thumped my chest at him. The bet won but the marriage lost as he poisened it and told her I was a compulsive gambler.

Fuk it, she was never good in bed anyway and I always had to do all the work and it was like a gift when I got laid. She just laid there all the time with a funny look, half of the time I even faked it because she use to fake it.

Excellent stories JJGOLD.I personally don't have any worries in my life as I am 41,never married and no kids.I live a life of leisure,stay up till 2am,get up just before noon.I work as a waiter in a fine dining restaurant 4 nights a week from 6pm to 11pm.So thats only 20 hours a week.I simply don't trust women and have chosen to stay single and am very happy for making that decision.My average tips per night are between $100 to $200,was $130 tonight.It is much cheaper to pay a woman for casual visits than it is to have a wife.It is also stress free.I find in general that women cannot be trusted.

Some wanted to know about my 3 wives, not much to say but here is a brief summary.

Wife 1: Met her when I was 16 after I got thrown out of school for running football tickets business, she was nice, Italian and smart. We dated for 2 years and at 18 got married. She liked the big shot image I had, the minks I wore, the rolls of money I always had and my lovemaking was excellent back then. I could last like 10 minutes. Well of course it went bad due to my cheating with women from the Jazz club I hung in, it was strange girls back them loved guys with minks so I banged everything. We got divorced and went our own ways.

Wife 2: This was an arranged marriage because she was Indian, she had a crush on me for years when I use to walk by her pad and her family liked me. I was more of a nice guy type with her because she was quiet and conservative. I guess she begged her parents to arrange a marriage even though I was not Indian and I think they thought I was rich so they gave into her. It was a big wedding but most people there were Indian as we did it her families way. She was a nice girl too and in college. She was pretty also.
