I hear what you're saying and I have been there Panic. You make a lot of threads on this same theme and I never know how to respond. Do you want help? Are you just happy to moan? I don't know.

I have been in huge ruts. You can get out of them but it takes effort. It is unlikely that anyone is going to climb through your window and save you. You make your choices.

I don't know what to say. Things can get better. It's up to you.

Panic the issue isn't always how old you are, we all get in ruts. I am 25 and I still get in ruts, sometimes it lasts a day, sometimes a week and even sometimes months. I know it sucks but you just have to stay positive and remember that you will come out of it and there will be better times ahead.

Keep your chin up and enjoy life for the moment. As Rogie said earlier in the thread...get up and do something. Do something completely out of your comfort zone. Go on vacation, somewhere you never thought of by yourself. Clear your head and just relax......Good Luck buddy I am sure you will make it through this.

Not looking for help, Mud. Just releasing for free. Kinda like a theraputic session without the bill at the end. Not necessarily happy, but feel unburdened afterwords. Things will get better just venting, thats all. Dont mind me.

Whats funny is I have had the reverse effect of a midlife crisis. i am not looking for a 20 year old girlfriend and want to run out and get tattoos and buy a sports car. I am the opposite. I want to grow up. Stop drinking like a kid everyday. Get my shit straight and hopefully live a more purposeful life than I have thus far. is that nuts or what?

I looked at the coming of my 40th and 50th birthdays like they were a second Christmas those years, had a blast each time with friends, and some of us are already starting to make plans for our 60th.
