Iphone & Google phone posters?

I have G1 and it does not appear the mobile site is working on my phone, I still get the normal site.

Best mobile forums site is wireless.rivals.com, check that out. It shows thread title, # of posts in thread, who started it, and who made most recent post. No avatars or signature whore shit, just the posts. I would just copy their format

Ok, apparently we still need to auto-redirect for that browser. Thanks. For today, you can look at the bottom of this page where it says "SBRForum Default" and select SBRforum mobile.

Opera mini browser, on almost any phone, will let you access 90% of the books.

Does it matter about IP? I have my user ID and password so I wouldn't think it would matter. But apparently not cause they take my money and my bets....

Bill,

There are issues with private messages. The Reply button under the message is not functional, it simply reloads the page. There is a quote button (the standard forum button) as well. It takes you to a new message page but does not include the quoted, original message. The receipients heading does contain the person you wish to reply to. However, the formatting is off as the user and the label overlap. Finally, when you send the message, you get a vBulletin error stating that you are missing a security token. I had to revert to default mode to send the message. Thanks.

Also, a cosmetic consideration... You could save some space in the heading of the thread view. The top navigation bar (where it says back and search) simply says "Thread." You could put the thread title in that location and eliminate the title from the body of the thread, pushing up the content slightly. It would mean less scrolling for us.

It's a little faster for me. It doesn't download all of the header/ad images which sometimes takes a while on my iPhone...

One pet peave of it is that I can't start scrolling before the entire page is loaded (like I can on default view) because once it's done loading, it brings me to the top of the page...

You can start a new message but the reply fix will be uploaded tomorrow along with some other tweaks. Good catch.

I agree. We lowered the post/page for tomorrow. With the first and last page being the most read it should help.

Tomorrow you will see a big last-post button for each thread to take you to the bottom.

There is a small drop down on bottom left you can use to select "mobile" for now. Hopefully tomorrow we'll have it auto-formatting for Android.

Looks like it only puts half the amount of posts per page on the mobile site...any way we could have an option or change it to normal

Also on threads, for instance this thread is 2 pages long online but 4 pages long on mobile. Only option is to go to next page and not directly to page 4.

Yes, you are right again. When we dumped the "last" button for threads we also lost it for posts within threads. We'll get that back. That should make it much better getting around.

The idea with the lesser threads per page is that you want limited scrolling... The touchscreen works out the finger. Hopefully the Next and Last buttons will give a good balance.
