Actually. Let's take a really close look at Beck.

He is a self-confessed alcoholic, he struggled with coke and his first wife left him.

Then he found the mormons. Beck claims the Mormons saved his life.

He has absolutely no education to speak of.

He was a top-40 DJ in Connecticut before replacing Bob Lassiter in Tampa as a AM talk show radio host.

And he has made a nice living at railing against anyone he dislikes.

He wrote that goofy Mormon christmas book---and get this---he thinks gambling is the work of the devil.

What checks and balances do we currently have in place right now?

Both houses of congress are dominated by pork-loving/free-spending liberal democrats with a liberal president ready to sign off on anything they want.

Our country put itself in serious jeopardy during Bush because republicans had full control of our country for 6 years and we have made even a more serious mistake handing over full control to the democrats.

Obama has come out point blank saying this $900 BILLION atrocity of a stimulus package is only the beginning and much more is needed to "fix" the economy.

Our country is running uphill on life support and these democrats are piling on the weight while stuffing french fries laced with gravy down our throats.

The only question is how much pork these democrats will be able to push through before the mid-term elections in November 2010?

I haven't heard Beck say anything to lead me to believe he's bright or gifted.
