Dinner and a movie seems to be good with all the chicks I date. It's simple. It's inexpensive (take turns where one of you pays for dinner, the other pays for the movie - or if it's a one time thing, you can split it or spring for it or whatever - no big deal). It gives a ready-made topic of conversation.

Now granted I am not as much of a expert on the ladies as many of the super-studs on this forum, but dinner and a movie is a natural in my book.

Well it all depends....How long have you been seeing the gir? Is this a first date? How comfortable are you with the chick?

If it is a first date....definitely do NOT take her to the movies either before or after dinner. If the dinner went bad then you are prolonging something that she doesnt want to be at. If the dinner went well then she would rather talk to you (or "get to know you better") and the movies isn't the place for that either. If you went before dinner and its the first date then she is going to feel awkward just sitting there with you for 2 hours without talking at all and not knowing you well.

If you have been dating a girl a while.....Movies are fine, make sure you get her input on what to go to. Don't make any assumptions as to what she might like because you will end up screwing yourself if you try to assume what she might like.

a few weeks back, wicked was playing its last weekend and I wanted to take my girl to see it with good seats, because she'd done alot of nice things for me recently....

because it was the last weekend the cheapest tickets I could find were like 350 each.... so I set up to buy them and did evrything but confirm them, and called my girl over to the puter and said do you want to go on such and such day.... and she saw how much they cost and told me not to buy them, but to save the $ for extra spring break money.

its the thought that counts...she was so impressed that I "almost" bought those tickets even though I never had any intention of buying them at that price.... I was pleased with myself.... then she pleased me more later...
