#40There is NO SHAME IN MY GAME!!! That was the luckiest cover I have EVER been involved in. I was a homer today taking OSU, Miami, Clemson, Va Tech and Lousiville to finish 4-1 and up 14 units for the day. WOOOOO FUGGGIN HOOOOOO! Aint gonna be no charity donation neither!Originally posted by pavyracerYeah who ever made money from that play should donate it to charity. It's like stealing from the offering plate at church.

#57I've had a few beats like that.
One was a bowl game last year. I had an Under dog +10 or something and they were winning in the final three minutes and were going in for another TD, they fumble, Cincy goes like 90 yards to take the lead, I think I'm still good, and then they throw a pick 6 right afterwards....
Anyway, when you bet games everyday, this shit happens. It sucks.
Musberger seemed to take that play really hard. He would shut up about it and said On my like three times. He probably lost thousands on it.Comment -

#63Brent was on Northwestern......he also got buried last season on a garbage time TD Clemson/FSU, I don't remember the exact scenario, but it was obvious at the time
(Edit: Clemson scored at the end on 4th and goal, to lose by 12, line was FSU -14 which BM was on)
On another note, I'm happy I was on Northwestern ML and didn't bet the points as well....

#65The whole last Ohio St. drive I'm just thinking "don't bust one, just run that clock." Then they punt, I'm thinking "Ok, no pick six....no pick six." First play is a sack, clock runs........One more play..."No pick six, no pick six." He completes the fukking pass. I feel safe.....little did I know they were going to try the Stanford-Cal play in the shadow of their own end zone. Even after the stupid backwards pass hit the grass, I'm thinking "Just cover the damn ball, I can afford to give up a safety. Just get on the goddamn ball please." Then I see the referee give the touchdown signal and I go numb.....Horrible fukking beat. The story of my season.

#66come on, that's a bad beat but not just some fluke ass bullshit like this game. there are bad beats and then there are like, horrible flukey, didn't-really-make-a-difference-in-the-outcome kind of beats like this that are the hardest to take.Originally posted by BigDofBAI've had a few beats like that.

#68Yeah, wacked. It was a show on CBS called the NFL Today. Musberger and Jimmy the Greek made betting "public"so to speak. You should read about it or better yet, there was a ESPN 30 for 30 on Jimmy the Greek. I loved watching Brent and the Greek with Phyllis George and Irv Cross. BTW, I was a kid at the time, but it got my betting juices flowing. Anyone under 40 would be interested in it if they didn't know about it. There was no internet, cable, or place to bet. I used to get those football tickets from my grandfather. you pick 4 out of 4 and get 10-1 odds; my introduction to gambling.Originally posted by wackedApparently younger than you. =) thanks for the info.Comment -

#69Sick Beat! NW ruined a 4-0 day... Can't complain to be 3-1 but still sucks.
I have had a couple these go in my favor and a few go against me. In the end I know I was on the right side.
Shit happens. On to Sunday and the Ravens and titans!Comment -
