No, I was hypothetically saying if both teams played their best efforts in a series, the Braves have no shot. Dodgers have the edge in every category except the pen/manager.

since when does striking out a ungodly amount of times and swinging for the fences a recipe for success in the postseason? doesnt make a lot of sense considering they will be facing pitchers that for the most part arnt a bunch of hr allowing scrubs and have swing and miss stuff..

No., they are better because Kershaw will win the Cy Young and actually pitched BETTER than his record because he did not get much run support for a while and Greinke is one of the best second starters in baseball that would be the ace on most teams.

Braves fan here if you want to take it with a grain of salt.....

It should be noted that a significant number of strikeouts in the lineup are removed with the exclusion of Uggla from the roster and with B.J. Upton on the bench. No doubt they are free swingers...probably Heyward and Andrelton Simmons are the only guys that work counts at all.....but the excessive strikeout issue is not as pronounced as some think. That said, the Braves best shot is to have their #2 and #3 starters step it up a notch (Medlen is at the top of his game now) to keep them either tied or ahead in games until the bullpen can do what they've done. With that combination at home, the Braves will at least have the last at bat which is indeed an advantage in such close games. It is absolutely a must that they win the first two games. If not, their chances are out the door.

oh yea, certainly a huge part of the equation, he is a freaking stud..that said greinke in no slouch himself and has only allowed 2 hr to braves hitters in 121 abs and he strikes out just under 1 a inning as well..
