Anytime a book denies or can't pay through one method we strongly recommend the player test them with another. Usually there is no added cost and the response is telling. Sometimes the bigger books just need to move large wires.
Las Palmas has sent a few of the smaller payouts today and recently sent contest winners 4 figures each. It is concerning that they can only do small payments through alternate methods like Moneybookers and won't do something in the short term for the bigger owed players. They state they are waiting for the bank to release their funds March 2nd. From what we can see they owe about $100,000. If they can't offer alternate options for the short term there will be further downgrade today.

Las Palmas
That's a blast from the past. They've been known to kick players out the same day they joined.

Out of all the books available, why use Las Palmas?
In the past +650 pleasers and stale lines. Now with +650 pleasers gone and my limits cut, I have no reason to play there.

Bill,
I talked to the manager (Brian) this morning and he reiterated what I was told over the weekend. He says I'll get my 2k check the first week in March. I seriously doubt this will happen. He refused any other method of payment or transfer, insisting I have to wait for the check.
I don't like the smell of this at all.

Add my $4500 to the waiting list ....
First I really appreciate Bill's (of SBR) attempts with eHorse (part of the Las Palmas/eHorse group) to collect $4500 I requested Jan 2. I also requested another $4500 on Feb 2. I made it clear I would take any kind of payout or transfer ... no luck. Was told maybe March. In total I have $14,000 there and really hope I ever see any of it ... In my defense, when I sent them money they were a B- rated book ... they are now C+ and dropping fast ... I would never send money to a book below B- by SBR (but I forgot about a possible downgrade ...)

I wouldn't either but I think you will be OK in March. Communication to players has been poor from a book that should have been prepared. Hopefully they can give us something more to ease concerns soon.
HH, You are not able to accept MB or Neteller correct?

No, I'm from the US. Check, Book-Book, and **/** are about my only options.

i can't complain, long time player, requested $2,500 neteller feb. 11th, was promised 5 days wait (that's fine with me, actually an example how a small time book should work these days), checked today and i was actually paid same day (feb. 11th).

I'm not disagreeing with that concept and sorry to digress, but I feel I have to point out that Las Palmas, who have been struggling this way for just a few months are currently rated C+.
Meanwhile Bet Atlas which his been having almost identical issues consistently for over a year are B- (except Atlas is worse in that they have even fewer option and are even slower and gouge on fees.)
Sorry. I'm jumping on an old hobby horse and it's not really relevant to this thread. Just spreading awareness I hope.

I used to play there. Waited 2 months+ to be paid in full from Nov. to January. Brian seems like a good guy... he won't bs you. Followup with him on March 1st.

Not really true. He's strung me along on both of my payouts, promising the end of the current week or early next week. It failed to happen either time. The 21 business day max is a lie, a stall tactic. They can't even meet this criteria.
I see Las Palmas was downgraded to C- today. Too little, too late for those that signed up when they had a respectable rating. Sadly, not once has SBR expressed regret for having this crap book as a sponsor.

Hedge, Sorry to hear. I got some small moneybooker payouts along the way before finally getting my balance by bank wire. They never had much cash in moneybookers either. Was with them since they were known as WIT. I liked them. EhorseX used to be a good shop.

Recieved check requested on 1/2/2009.
Was told the second check I requested on 2/2/2009 should be sent out the end of this month (March).
Having received 1/2 of my withdrawal requests, I am hopeful that I will actually be paid in full (eventually).
