It isn't that close to anything really except the Wynn and Fashion Show Mall. The only reason to stay at Trump IMHO is for a GREAT room for $100. If you already bought it on Priceline, then you can't back out now anyway.

Trump is at the ass end of the strip. If you want to be in the middle of everything, Ballys is pretty much the middle

Vegas is hurting, you should be able to get a great rate at almost any hotel. Should be able to get a great rate at most hotels for under $100 at night. When are you going?

I liked the center location of the Flamingo and they have a great pool if you are going later than March. Last time I went to Vegas 1 1/2 years ago, stayed at the Excalibur in the updated newer rooms. Very nice with a 42 inch plasma and everything including the hallways were updated. Plus a free monarail connects them with the Luxor and Manalay Bay.

Don't bother getting an expensive room since most people spend very little time in their room. Love the center strip location and the south strip is nice as well. Don't get a hotel in a casino on the North side, no casino worth going to north of the Wynn.

I dont think Trump even has a casino does it???

I agree with Bread and recommend Stratosphere. I think the name of the room we stayed in is like corner something. It is an extra 50 square feet for the same price. It is at the end of the strip but the cab rides are cheap, my girlfriend and I actually walked the strip, grabbed a tall drink from Paris and starting heading back but was WASTED half way back, so definitely get one of those!!

Excalibur also has great rates right now, and is pretty much in the middle of everything.

I would call some of the big boys closer to the date you get in and lay it on the line. Tell them you like to gamble/eat/shop where you stay. If they have unbooked rooms they will usually match your price.

Are you sure it is past the cancellation time for the trump? Usually it is 6pm day before. Get on the horn w/ the Wynn, Belagio and see if they are willing to deal.

When are you going? Looks like a very nice place, but I believe they don't have a casino and are not very close to other casinos. Here's a link to the Trump Las Vegas Hotel.

Stay at a luxury Las Vegas hotel on the Strip. Trump Hotels offers spacious suites, five-star service, and unmatched views in the center of it all.

I went to Vegas in Oct and called a couple hotels looking to make a deal and they basically told me to get lost.

I guess it might help if you have stayed with them before and they know you gamble there. But also, Feb '09 and Oct' 08 are different times in Vegas, doesn't cost much to make a 10 minute phone call.

You won't be disappointed with the room for $100 per night.

Baus is an expert in Vegas hotels. He got his last STD in Vegas on a $100 per night room.

No, that time was in the Hard Rock which was $119/night. I did not contract any STD. Currently I can proudly say I have no STD's.

I've stayed with them 5 times and mentioned this to them, but it didn't work.

Youre going to enjoy the hotel and youll probably save yourself money by not having a casino there. My girlfriend went to bed one night, I got up and went downstairs and lost over $2k (close to my entire roll for the trip). At least you will have to make a conscious effort to go gamble instead of it just being thrown in your face...

Oh one more thing, do me a favor and throw $5 in the wheel of fortune slots at the airport. Its always been indicitive of how my time in vegas will be...

The Trump is a nice hotel, well appointed rooms. No casino or book. Closest casino is the Wynn.

Luxor is a good hotel to stay at. Wouldn't play there though. I have stayed there twice and it was way inexpensive.
