You don't see me arguing.
I am going to write Mr. Loria and beg him for Michael Hill's GM gig.
I can make the Fish relevant in two years.
They have several pieces, they still need some work, but they are pointed in the right direction, if they don't pull that fire sale shit again, but come to think about it, that fire sale is actually looking pretty good.
Adeiny Hechavarria starts at shortstop and is steady.
Henderson Alverez is having a solid season coming out of the pen. 2.64 ERA and 1.21 WH/IP ratio are nice numbers.
Mathis is a no stick, but good with a rookie staff, knows what he's doing backup catcher.
I don't know yet about Marisnick or DeSciafani yet.
Yunel Escobar, who they got in that deal but flipped to the Rays, I really, really like, but Fish are high on Hechavarria at short.
They gave up a washed up Josh Johnson, Bonifacio who will never amount to anything but a utility guy.
Buehrle better days are gone, Jose Reyes is an all star, yes, but is good for two pulled hammies a season.
Marlins love Yelich (I do too) their first round draft pick, playing every day now, hitting .333
I got no problems with Solano and second, I think Ed Lucas can be a good third sacker too.
I love Ozuna's stick too, seen the guy shoot the gap like the best of them several times this season.
Stanton is a proven big league masher, Lo-Mo also has a dangerous stick.
The Marlin roation is actually not that bad at all, pretty good if you ask me.
Fernandez is a BEAST, he is no shooting star, the kid will be a Cy Young award winner by age 25, he just turned 20 for the love of God.
Ricky Nolasco's numbers this season are fine. 3.85 ERA and a 1.22 WH/IP ratio is much better than league average.
22 year old Jacob Turner is going to be a good one, keep your eye on him, 3-3 this season with a very tidy 2.49 ERA, and just as tidy 1.18 WH/IP ratio.
Closer Cishek is one of the leagues better closers, 21saves, type of guy you don't hold your breath on when he enters the ninth. K an inning ratio, 2.97 ERA, outstanding 1.09 WH/IP ratio. Gets it done when called on.
Qualis out of the pen is having a stellar under the radar season.
OK, this is how we make the Marlins relevant and contenders again.
Dump Slowey, I like the kid, who's not a kid anymore, he's capable of hurling monster games, but more capable of throwing a garbage game.
Dump LeBlanc, he's garbage. Sanabia will never be ready for prime time, see if you can move that 24 year old arm.
Just get one, dependable starter to join Fernandez, Nolasco and Jacob Turner.
Just one more good starter they need.
Don't touch the bull pen, the regular five are good Ramos-Dunn-Webb-Qualis-Cishek are a good unit.
Upgrade the catching position, Brantley has a decent bat, but you ain't winning with Brantley. Keep Mathis as back up.
Get rid of noodle are single hitting Juan Pierre, get rid of Greg Dobbs, get rid of Austin Kearns. Polanco and Kotchman also.
Get a power hitting outfielder, Austin Kearns is not the answer.
This 2014 Marlin team can compete for a wild card.

Message to Hill, and Loria, sign the kids long term. Lock them up. Give Stanton what he wants, get some more pitching, you'll be fine.

#14Who the hell knows with this owner honestly. I will say this tho, Stanton and Fernandez are our most popular and best players, if he moves them then it confirms he's just a cheap fukk and doesnt want a winning franchise. We fukking hate him(Loria) here for conning the city into building a new stadium that should've went to the damn dolphins just to sent the whole damn team to toronto. This guy better open up that check book.Comment -
