flying sucks in general.

After my flight back from Dallas last year, I said afterwards I would've preferred to have driven back. It was 24 hours worth of driving.

I hate everything about flights. They're cramped, they have tons of delays which make you sit around with nothing to do, security is disgusting and they have no concern for your dignity, and you're crammed into small places with lots of people, and people suck.

That Dallas flight I was singled out to be handchecked in front of everyone. Guy touched me inappropriately a few times and ran the little scanner over me twice. Then on the flight I was behind three scum girls. The one in front of me had her seat leaned all the way back the entire flight. I asked her not to, but they refused. I considered starting a fight on the plane, but decided against it.

Oh yeah, and I was stuck in that seat. I couldn't get out and actually move because I was in the window seat and someone next to me was sleeping. I was stuck with a seat in my face for hours. That is hell. I couldn't even reach for my bag. When I finally got off the flight, I was spitting mad.

Another time I waited in the airport for 6-7 hours. I get delayed all the time, but that was the worst.


I will now recap my flights, for the hell of it:

1)To Orlando and back when I was 4.
2)To St. Louis and back.
3)To Dallas and back.
4)To Dallas to Denver. From Denver from Dallas.
5)To Colorado Springs to LA. From LA from Denver.
6)Overseas and back. Direct flight.

all starting and returning in NY

Flying is never fun and I am not rich enough to fly first class. What a miserable day yesterday was. We were delayed between a half hour and 45 minutes while sitting on the plane because they had to tape an overhead luggage bin shut. WHAT???

US Airways sucks and I would never, ever recommend it. When we booked the flight, little did we know that they would charge $15 per each bag, each flight. This meant that nearly everyone (but us) took a carry on. Meaning...they ran out of overhead space. They ALSO charge you $2 for a fvcking bottle of water. And alcoholic beverages are now $7.

flying just pisses me off all over. Oh yeah, and the part about them throwing out stuff that costs you money because they basically don't allow anything on flights these days.

and since I'm cheap, I refuse to buy anything on board, so I suffer.

I think I'd rank the worst parts:
1)Delays
2)Jet lag
3)being jammed in amongst jerks
4)Them throwing out your stuff
5)The obscene prices on board.
6)Security


the timing of flights also sucks. If you want to fly at a reasonable hour, they jack up the prices. So I end up having to be at the airport at like @&#%^ing 8 AM.
