I wish the NFL would research better helmets. I read in a science journal years ago about a helmet that was like a sponge but protected the head and neck better than what they currently use. They also had an improved mouthpiece that reduced the amount of concussions. I think the majority of big injuries are due to helmet to helmet. Imagine if they could eliminate that alone.

It really is ridiculous that they havent switch to a new design. Theres one in particular out there that has been proven to drastically cut concussions, but because they look somewhat funny the NFL hasn't made the switch.

I heard about that one too. Who cares what they look like. It's like wearing the Haunz (spelling) device in auto racing. If it saves one person it's worth it. I also read that several big companies don't want to change because it would hurt their business and they fatten the pockets of the people who make the decisions.
