Then you'd have a final vote with just the 8 top vote-getters. Or, like I said, just take the top 5 total (and in this case 6).

    Maybe next year.
We were gonna do what you said but because of cheating the final round ballooned to 84 to try and account for all the error that comes with cheating. If we do this next year we'll take care of the cheating from the beginning.

How about this format? Like the World Cup of soccer. Best 16 advance to sweet sixteen. Then they are seeded and the knock rounds start to advance to quarters, semis, and the last two the final game.

The guys that voted for themselves should be banished to the penalty box and made to feel shame.

Maybe next year JJ's ghosts don't get votes---just a thought.

              Agreed .

This was EXTREMELY anti-climactic. I thought you always had another round of voting planned.

Sir, where does it say "Best"? I am bewildered how come, for an intelligent poster that you are, The SBR 2008 Poster of Year could have any kind of positive ring to it.

jjgold only won by 1 vote, I thought it was exciting.

Yeah, you're correct. "Poster of the Year", not "Best Poster". While there's a difference, the logic behind that post still holds true -- JJ received the most votes because some (inexplicably) feel his posts are of value. So it does, in a sense, have a positive ring to it.

Pretty sad that JJ would receive more votes than Ganchrow. But not at all surprising.

Yes, it has a positive ring to it for them but I was talking about you perception as an intelligent poster.

There is a Nobel Prize in literature and there is The Most Checked Out Book by the AnytownUSA Hospital Psychiatry Ward Patients.

For me, the positive outcome is that now I know who those patients are.

If Ganchrow hang out more in the Players Talk I would have switched my vote and he would have been a winner. What's the reason of him being so snob and privey?

jjgold is very popular because he is like the Teamster's leader not some white collar yappy.

Does he win something? Maybe we should bronze some swim googles and give them to him. They could be passed on to next years winner and so on like the stanley cup.
