When I made the rule "you can't vote for yourself" it meant that if you did that the vote would be subtracted from the total. If you disqualify people for voting for themselves, it makes the whole thing pointless because the will of the people will not be heard. That's what this is about.

I thought there was going to be one more round of voting for the Top 5. I don't mind too much splitting it into groups, but the system is flawed. Lets say, for instance, that JJ and Nicky had ended up in the same bracket. They might have stolen some of eachother's votes and left it open for someone else in a bracket with a clear cut favorite (such as Justin7).

Not to mention how many people voted for friends and what not.

Well, you can't really strip JJ of his title, now that you've gone and declared him winner.

I was just pointing out that the group system looked a lot like olympic groups in soccer or hockey, where say the top 2 from each group advance to the final round.

Then you'd have a final vote with just the 8 top vote-getters. Or, like I said, just take the top 5 total (and in this case 6).

Maybe next year.
