Flacco is gonna hit the wall here, like Big Ben did in his rookie year. Tough to take a rookie QB this deep in the playoffs on the road against a defense like Pittsburgh. Thats gambling suicide.

I know Baltimore looked shitty against Tenn but 6pts is a lot. San Diego was not a very good team, Tenn was.
Pit offense could do nothing until 2 min first half. Don't think Balt will have same let down.

Its hard for me to take Baltimore based on what I saw the first couple of drives vs Tennessee. The offense looked real flat and I think Flacco's inexperience will hurt. The Steeler defense is very good at hiding there blitz packages.
On the defensive side of the ball I saw a lot of guys on defensive side of the ball for Baltimore falling out. Suggs is a little iffy.

Stagnant offense + tired/injured defense = -6 Pitt

Do I think Pittsburgh is going to run the ball effectively? No.
Do I think Baltimore is going to run the ball effectively? No.
Do I think Roethlisberger is going to have a big day? No.
Do I think Flacco can get Baltimore into the end zone more than once? No.
I believe the Steelers are going to win, should win, but to me, those 6 points look tempting. The Ravens, after all, could very easily have won both games in the regular season; I know they didn't, but the game were thisclose. Rather than pick a side, I think the total is the way to go. I agree with topgame, I see the steelers being able to score on the ravens, The titans were able to move the ball fairly easy. If not for all the turn overs the titan win by 14 or more. Ravens looked like they hit a wall.

If someone takes this, they better hope the Cards make it to the big dance. Thats the only way to get an edge. If it ends up being Pitt/Philly, no way Pitt will be favored by 3 or more since Philly has already beat them earlier in the year. Game would probably be close to a pick. I would be suprised if they favored the Steelers 3 or above in that game.

I have no real idea yet how this game is gonna go.... hopefully Balty's D is fading and Steelers are staying sharp...

Steeler fans are some of the most knowledgeable fans about their team in all of football if not sports... people know the players' wives and kids names.... forget other players on the roster.. know the practice/taxi squad, the trainers... remember bickerstaff?

most steeler fans are for real, but yeah you have your bandwagon fans for all teams when they do good

I think offense has an advantage playing a defense 3 times..... little easier to come up with solutions to different defensive schemes, new wrinkles, new plays....then it is to come up with new defenses....not that I under estimate Dick Lebeu... sharp play might be on the over..

Maybe the game will turn out just the opposite of how I see it, but I, for one, don't see these two teams running up and down the field. So, to answer your question, the first score of the game being a FG looks pretty appealing.
