It is a southern Christian thing maybe. I hear it every now and then when someone gives a speech and was taught to pray that way as a kid, blessing people I know in the name of God.

As a Christian I loved the John 3:16 under his eyes. His family really is a great testament. Selling everything they own to go on mission work in the Phillipines. God bless the Tebows.

right, God loves all players and people the same.. God doesn't care about one team vs another, or one sport vs another..


but if you believe in God, then you would say that God "Blesses" those who follow his precepts.... not like a benevolent old man up in heaven giving treats/rewards to those who did somthing good....

but in a more indirect way... For example young men/women that do not have sex until marriage will never have to worry about STD's or unwanted pregnancy before being married... a small blessing (with a huge sacrifice)

If you follow the Bible's instruction to follow all laws of the land put in place by governmental authorities, then you will never worry about getting a speeding ticket, or parking ticket ect.

I think that by Tebow living a clean life, his faith has indirectly and directly allowed him to reach ALL of his full potential in every area...body, mind, spirit, ect. had he been a juvenile delinquent he may never have reached his full potential. Tebow's life style allowed him to be as good as he is. So indirectly God bestowed his "favor" upon him and Tebow/FL benefitted.

not saying that bad people aren't great athletes... the obviously are. But my point is maybe they would have been better had they not had so much baggage ect. how good could Michael Vick had been if he wasn't all caught up in junk outside of football.
