If Ben gets hit hard early it could be a factor
If SD leads at half it could put Pitt in a bad position
SD has been playing great of late......if they pick up the blitz and sproles makes it past the first wave of defenders it could get ugly


my biggest worry is Norv being Norv....hope his team can make the plays without him having to think much.

Actually thats how I came to be a Steeler fan. As a kid, everyone here in Texas was a Cowboy fan, so in the 70's, when the Steelers took 'em out, I said, fvck yeah...thats my team. I loved that everybody hated them. I did it to spite everyone else. What a kid huh? but I've stuck with them since.

over the past 50 years steelers have always had one of the best if not THE best centers in the leauge..

mansfield, webster, Dawson (one of greatest all time), Hartings (not great but under-rated)... and now they suck their... the center position was an anchor for them like no other position or team ever I would think..

I'd like you to give Webster the same (.. greatest...) that you give Dawson. He was acknowledged as the best in the league for many years and is the only O-lineman from those super bowl teams in the hall of fame.

Also, you said you thought dallas had 6 super bowls. No, it dallas 5 , sf 5, and pgh 5 (soon to be 6 ) .

I hope everyone noticed how the o-line dominated today. They made the running game good and protected ben better than I've seen all year. They had their problems this year, but today they were great ( or is it that San D is just not as good as most of the teams the Steelers played this year)

Lucky team? Geez, Lou, you may want to think about what you're typing before you do it. No team that ends the reg. season 12-4 is "lucky." The Steelers had arguably the toughest schedule in the league this season and they came out of it with only 4 losses. They have beat Baltimore twice this season (and don't give me the last game was won by a bad official's call. That TD wasn't on 4th down and the steelers had just driven the length of the field on the Baltimore D. Chances are they would have scored anyway.) So, "managing" to get past Baltimore shouldn't be too difficult since Pittsburgh has "managed" it twice this season.
The offense finally looked good yesterday and the defense is arguably one of the top 10 to take the field ever. Great defense wins big football games. You know that, I know that and we both know a team doesn't go 12-4 and win a playoff game just because they're "lucky."

Pitt more realistically won because when the game was tight at the half (14-10) Pitt came out and dominated. By the end of the 3rd quarter, SD held the ball for a paultry 17 seconds had one offensive play and 2 turnovers - you can't make that crap up and you can't blame it on a helmut bounce.
