Lot of late movement on Ole Miss though. I bet a very small amount on them. Does Utah/Alabama apply? Line is dropping, I really like Alabama -8.5. Not a play against Utah, but Alabama should be ready to go and I think they are more talented than Utah, not to mention how much I love Saban in big games.

another thing I meant to ask Nicky: Why would books knowingly make lines for the public to bet 1 side harder than the other? I understand they know whats going on, but even sure things don't always hit. Wouldn't they be better off in the long run to make the lines as even for action on both sides?

Weather was a huge factor in that game. But in favor of the over. The strong wind, with snow flurries, blew straight in the face of one of the goalies. The goalie had trouble seeing. Sure enough, 6 of the 7 first goals were in that goal (spread out over 2 periods).

I don't necessarily disagree with Nicky's hypothesis in this thread.....but it'd be a whole lot more useful if the examples given to prove the theory were not yet decided. Lets face it, just about any theory can appear to be valid and valuable by cherry-picking events in the past.....I believe they call this hindsight bias.

When I saw the thread and then saw the line only 1.5 2nd half I thought right away, here we go prime example so i nailed Miss, anyways it appears to be right, enven if the thinking was wrong.
