Finally, its great for Jason Collins being a spokesman it gives other people hope and courage to change their lives and its a beautiful thing. Imagine being in love with someone and not able to tell your friends or family, meet their family and friends, not be able to go on vacation because of papparazzi, etc.

It gives him freedom. Hes not shoving it in anyone's face. He just wants to live his life and he hopes he can encourage others to do the same.

If him coming out in public makes a positive difference for others struggling with the same situation he has done a great thing. Could care less if someone is gay or not. I am comfortable in my own skin. Nice to see his colleagues showing support through social media. Jason Collins is washed up and quite frankly, 90% of the fans if polled would have said that Collins had already retired. If Collins is the strength and inspiration to gay people to make them come out of the closet, I would say that Jason would be a very poor choice. At least Adorable Adrian Adonis was in the height of his career when he came out.
