C'mon man. Your sounding really ignorant. What he is doing is becoming a pioneer for gay athletes, and gays in general. He has the chance to be a role model for other gay athletes to come out, as well as other gays. I actually had a gay kid at my high school commit suicide because people made fun of his sexual orientation. I do agree that the flamboyant gays who put it in your face are annoying, but that is actually a small minority of them. When kids see famous people come out, it gives them hope and strength that they can do the same.
Collins isn't doing this for attention, he is doing it for himself, the gay community, and really for everyone. This honestly wouldn't be such a big deal if there weren't do many homophobes in the world.
I'm don't with this subject because anytime you mix politics with sports it can get a bit out of hand. Either way I respect him for what he did. You may not care about it, but I can guarantee you that it means A LOT to people of different sexual orientation.Comment -
