NHL/NBA Playoff Contest Idea. Similar to March Madness we had.

8 to 16 people. Randomly generated pick #. You pick 4 teams from the pool of 32 NHL/NBA playoff teams.
Snake draft.

To make things interesting, the winner will be whoever has his "group" of teams go the "furthest" in the playoffs.
So number of total wins. Since Miami Heat most likely give someone to much an advantage this will make it more fair and interesting.

Example Pick #1: Heat, Sharks, Rockets, Islanders.

Heat win Championship 16 wins = 16 points.
Sharks Lose 2nd round 4-2 = 6 wins
Rockets lose 1st round 4-1 = 1 win
Islanders lose 1st round 4-0 = 0 wins

So a total of 23 wins/points for Player #1.

Maybe we'll have a bonus for team winning the Championship too. Just throwing out some ideas.

Sounds like a cool idea, I'd definitely be interested.

Nothing wrong with the Heat, there just the consensus 1st pick, it would have been like playing fantasy baseball and saying you can't have Pujols a couple years back. Having them is an advantage, but it won't win you the contest.

If you have #1 Pick and you pick the heat then your next picks will be 17/32/33, so it should balance out hopefully.

Gave the Sharks the benefit of the doubt, should be out 1st round...

i say do it all at once anyway, if you pick a hockey team that misses the playoffs that's the same as losing in the 1st round
