I agree...Cain is not himself, SF can explode for runs or post 0's across the board...it is in COL....just way too much about this game that appears cloudy in my crystal ball....

Also may want to take a look at the value out in Anaheim, Jerome Williams has been a tank pretty much his whole career. A year or 2 ago he flirted with a no hitter or actually got it I cant remember but the hype of that, along with this horrendous Angels team with a depleted bullpen after the royals tore them apart early in the game last night I think there is +EV. Quintana on the mound for the White Sox he didnt look too bad in his last start giving up 2ER in 6IP, hes averaging a K an inning I witnessed these White Sox hitters yesterday from behind the plate and they seemed pretty locked in.. I like them as a dog here.. +123....

Both games I looked at and both games I marked as NO PLAY....in fact I feel that the Angels will win tonight and that the White Sox game is less than a pick'em, so even at +123 it isn't in my play book....but both good ideas.

On a tennis note Federer just needs to win this 2nd set against Simon to book us that winner (under 21 games) as he took the first set at 6-1.....even 7-6 in a tie break gets us there, so go Feddy!!

No it does not change my opinion. They are the better team and are at home for the series.....I love this pick. Any time I make a series play you can be sure I am aware of all injuries on both sides....

As for the Pens, no I do not like the series bet. Ottawa could have surprised them and Anderson was one of the few goalies I was scared of.....will they win? Sure, probably....was it worth the juice? Not IMO.

If Ottawa had won game 1 decisively and the series on Pitt had dropped to say.....-180 or -175 I would have taken it at that point....just too much juice on something that didn't have a certain outcome in my mind.

I am now off the game completely. In games with last minute changes (goalie in the NHL, pitcher in MLB) anything can happen....it is just too unpredictable and loses all of it's appeal to me. Too bad, I think the Yanks were going to win and big....

Quick update before I head to the driving range.....

No crazy big plays or anything, just another super solid morning in the ATP. That brings us to 17-6 in the last 4 mornings for a tidy profit.

On to bigger and better things later.....we would love to see both road teams close things out tonight, and my best guess is that happens.

How the heck has this line moved 35 points?? I cannot figure out who would be on the Marlins.....it makes no sense to have that much movement in a game fully loaded the other way. As I am not one to believe in traps, I will just look skyward and be happy.

I'm with you. This kind of drop is inexplicable to me, but I'm perfectly fine with it. This was a no way play at -190, but at -155, it's a much more reasonable bet.

Traps DO NOT exist. The perception of a trap is not correct.....after these 'traps' happen people call them traps, but really they are just poor spots to get into bed with the public.

Said more clearly: If you bet on what you perceive as a 'trap' and you lose it is a trap and if you win it is a mistake in Vegas. When it is really just ODDS. At -155, like tonight's game, all you need to do is win 3 out of 5 to break even (or within $10 of even).....does this game win here more than 3 out of 5? It sure as hell DOES.....the problem is that nothing is certain....

I believe this game wins 70% +++ of the time, which is way better than 60% required for break even, creating + EV....and if we lose this game it isn't a TRAP, it is just the 25-30% of the time that our bet would lose.

I am tired about hearing about traps....lines are set by us, the bettors.....

Actually sometimes the lines are set up by bookies for balancing...but it doesn't matter. I've made the same calculation, like you and just placed a bet. The 'trap' was only...a joke.

i think he should still stick with the pacers because knicks cant compete with pacers there big and can defend well all knicks do is too much ISO 1 on 1 with hibbert and west down low i dont think knicks have a chance take the points +4.5
