Good guy. How many PhD Chemists become one of the greatest sports owners of all-time?
He may be the only one. Ever.
And a completely self-made man too. Took something like 800 bucks and turned into into a real estate empire ended up buying the Lakers from Jack Kent Cooke. That's how ya roll bitches.

truly a great owner but 8/5/76 was the most important day in Lakers history....before Buss was there
On August 5, 1976, the Los Angeles Lakers acquired 1977, 1978 and 1979 first-round picks, and a 1980 second-round pick from the Utah Jazz in exchange for a 1978 first-round pick and a 1977 second-round pick. This trade was arranged as compensation when the Jazz signed Gail Goodrich on July 19, 1976.The Lakers used the pick to draft Magic Johnson.
Buss turned it into a show though....turned $67 million to buy Lakers Kings and the Forum to over $1 billion value

wow, it would have been nice if Kobe & Company had put together a strong effort against the Clippers
to him off win a big home win. You deserved better.

You just can't help being a douchebag.
Pretty sure Dr. Buss was more than happy with what Kobe has done for the organization.

Yup he will be rolling over in his grave.
He has 5 or 6 kids and they all have an equal share in the team so it will be an abortion as they fight and claw for their pieces of the pie. Also no coincidence that Phil Jackson FINALLY agreed to marry Jeanie Buss after banging her for close to two decades. I am sure he will be looking for something from it all as well. Bunch of frigging vultures circling the guy the past few days to be sure.

look, this is not the place for you screaming. this is a tribute thread.. try to be classy.
i just thought that paying tribute to Dr. Buss by Kobe/Lakers with a greater effort would have been
appreciated by him and his family i am certain.
It was the last game by the team that represented his life's work in his lifetime..*He was already in intensive care.
i would have been nice if they had recognized that. and not just quit, and not be so cavalier
Also, I can't believe that you are betting big (1500) (on the Clippers) against your own team (Lakers),
when you know very well that would probably be the last game for the very person that put together the team you adore..
and then you act sniffles and downcast, when he passes.
Maybe honor him by not wagering and rooting for his team to lose
when you knew full well it was his last. Whose the douchebag?*

Q:Whose the douchebag?*
A: the douchebag is the Laker fan who wagers against his own team,
knowing that it will be the very last game of the architect's life.
and that this experience would be the last this individual has with this team, his child.
and they lost by 20+ pts. …and you are cheering the whole time. Counting your money
If you are wagering against your owner in the last game of his life,
maybe don't phony threads where you appear as a defender of the faith
and a soldier for the fallen.*

Listen retard.......you're the one that used this thread to take a shot at "Kobe & Company". You are truly delusional.
I told you I could NEVER wager real cold hard cash against my team........never. Instead.......I wagered 1500 SBR points on the Clippers over the Lakers because my "pro" membership needed to be renewed (which I used points for) and I.......like most........know the Lakers are usually overvalued.
Who's the douchebag? Uh, that would still be you Ratzz.

Uh......ok? I guess.
Not sure what's to "get over".
I'm assuming you're just another in a long line of NBA fans tired of the Lakers dominance. I'm not mad at you though......I get it.
