Most sports require money to play. Baseball & football require equipment. Maybe a gym membership to get a little muscle on you. Most sports are also a little more complicated. Ever try to explain the rules of football to your girlfriend?

It doesn't take anything to play soccer. Just some dirt, something to call a ball, and a few cola cans to mark the boundaries. It's also simple to play. Kick the ball between the goal without using your hands. Easy enough.
