I know a lot of people hate him but he is a good defender and serves his purpose. He is still valuable because the Lakers can put him on the other teams top scorer.

Gasol is a very skilled big man and Kobe, despite my dislike for him, is one of the all-time greats. Also, Gasol and Kobe have proven they can win titles together.

D'Antoni and Howard will be (or already are) this team's undoing imo. Howard isn't a winner and is a total baby. He isn't mentally tough enough to deal with Kobe. D'antoni is bad coach and his style doesn't fit the Lakers at all.

Adding Nash wasn't a bad move but the Lakers need more lunch pale guys and role players. They're just not a team and look lost a lot of times. When this happens, Kobe tries to prove points by being a baby and not taking any shots, D'antoni loses control, Howard's feelings get hurt, Gasol fills disrespected, and it's just one gigantic soap opera.

The Lakers have too many issues to have any type of post-season success, if they even make it. The only guy that could fix them was probably Phil Jackson as he is the only coach that Kobe listens to.
