So now you're saying intelligent people wouldn't hang out at SBR as it currently stands, even though it's so awesome that anybody comparing it to the past is wasting their time? Believe it or not, but before you even joined here, the average IQ of SBR posters was easily 40 points higher, and I started posting here precisely because there were a surprising amount of highly intelligent people with which to converse and mock the idiots with.

Ganch was so mentally far above the average SBR poster that many would not be able to appreciate him. I'm only barely smart enough to realize that he was WAY too smart for me to understand. but beyond that, he was so long ago that most posters currently here had not signed up when he was working here.

I was dumb as a stump about sports betting math when I arrived here. He went out of his way to answer my dumb questions and even wrote a couple of code routines to get me started. Looking back I feel sorry for him having to put up with questions from people like me who had never really thought about the subject much, let alone read a book on it.

But if he hadn't done that, I never would have ended up reading/learning what I have.
