Thanks, I appreciate it. I don't think you were foolish for betting JDS -150. I think closer to -200 was a bit silly, but still hard to call a wager foolish. I just feel as if people severely overvalued the first fight and what it meant for the second fight, and that it wouldn't be representative of the rematch.

Most people thought I was the foolish one for betting big on Cain. The amount of max-bets on JDS at that point were ridiculous. It seemed like everyone barring myself and Grabaka were on JDS.

As for putting my balls on the line, I dunno, I wouldn't take forums that seriously if I were you. I post my plays before the fights with standardized wager sizes (small, small-moderate, moderate-large, large, etc.), and I often get bitched at for not posting the amount I'm betting. I have even been accused of lying about live betting to cover myself, even when I post the live plays in the discussion thread in between rounds, and the majority of the plays are also posted by other posters at the same time. People who think you're a good handicapper will think you're a good handicapper. Those that don't, won't. No one who posts their plays after they make them profits from doing so, unless they're looking to hedge, which I don't. I post my plays to contribute because I don't feel as if being critical of others without putting myself in the open also is something I want to do. At the end of the day, it is an internet forum, and there are people who respect my handicapping, and people who think I'm full of shit and give me a hard time when I lose. I'm ok with that. Anyone who isn't, probably shouldn't be posting their plays in the first place.

Congrats on your Maia hit. I was on the Fitch by decision prop at near-evens myself, but to be honest, I did feel as if Maia could exploit Fitch's suspect takedown defence, but I never followed through and looked into it. Great call.

Not mentioned units is ages. My bankroll grew which is what happens when you make money. I had £350 on Pat Curran the other week and that was a small-moderate play. I haven't made a big play on MMA in a while, simply because I'm concentrating on soccer and haven't been focusing on MMA much.

If you simply want to compare hog sizes though based on who has the highest stakes in betting (which is what a 14 year old kid would do) then how about this one today...(and that's squid so convert that to your dollarz buddy)

Competition is a capping contest. Fixed bankroll with unlimited plays. Winner is decided when all plays are settled, say after the rush of FX4/UFC 147/UFC 148. Bankroll does not rollover for wins cashed to reuse later so choose wisely (avoids last minute hailmary bankroll plays which no one does in real life except an assclown that now lives in a blowup castle). Plays can be made in real-time up until the final fight of UFC 148. Screencaps of bets must be acquired for each play to prove the line you got it at so either post your real bet with a screencap (and adjust units if you so choose) or bet the min and screencap (assuming you have $1 in your account). Only books on bestfightodds are allowed. Did I miss anything?
