I mean if I were to get citizenship in the UK, I'd give up my US citizenship. Otherwise I'd still owe US taxes (and if congress has it's way for 10 years after giving it up too ) yearly.

I wouldn't do it though without a passport that let me travel to the USA freely.

Spain is the easiest route to an EU passport durito. 3 years of residence and you can apply for it. Residence can mean to own real estate and live there atleast 6 months and 1 day. Spanish banks are financing Americans for real estate now a days. Flats are realitively cheap, a small down payment and yearly extended stay can be your best investment.

With a Spain passport you can based your business out of the UK.

hmm. I wouldn't mind living half the year somewhere else. not anytime soon though, can't afford it yet.

Getting into the UK is pretty easy if you either have finance or the ability to create employment, but Rogue makes a good point, a UK passport is in fact an EU passport so entry to any Eurozone country is good for all the others.
