Notre Dame time after time gets the benefit of the doubt by the media and public because, really, in honesty, everybody loves Rudy. There really isn't another reason why they would be in this game. Do you think Kansas State and Oregon would have gotten the same treatment if they were undefeated? I highly doubt it.

So because of Notre Dames legendary status that they made for themselves they shouldnt go to the national title when they are undefeated and have a schedule toughness ranked higher than bama? Thats like telling espn not to talk about tiger woods when hes going into sunday leading at the masters. Rudy also has nothing to do with why notre dame is playing in the national championship.

South Carolina took apart Georgia 35-7.

South Carolina was 11-2. They lost to LSU ON THE ROAD IN DEATH VALLEY--23-21. They also beat Clemson on the road (The same team that beat LSU in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl).

The only bad game they played was their beatdown at the Swamp agianst Florida. That's it. Where are you getting this "inconsistent" tage from? Is it based on anything in reality?

Actually they did.

ND's SOS was 27th, Alabama's was 35th.

It's funny cause I initially started loving college football with the big ten going to penn state.. then when I moved back home I started to really respect and affirm the sec. there are so many bowls 6 vs 10 isn't a remarkable observation in my humble opinion. Sec has dominated the bowls besides the Florida flop and as a result of that upset I think Bama will be more focused. Look at how the SEC has played since then.


Sorry if I offended you with my notre dame comments about Rudy ( I love the movie too lol) and I guess you are right about South Carolina. I just thought in my opinion they seemed dominant one week and one week not (they almost lost to Vandy althought they are competent this year) but just let the game happen.. lol

I think you missed the strength of schedule observation. Like most of America you have your love affair with SEC. Rightfully so, they have won last 6. Things are cyclical though and they will not be dominant forever.
