#737You guys are missing the point if sbr would of came forward you are right people still wouldn't of got paid but people would of stopped depositing also. By sbr keeping client they allowed people to deposit an average of 200k per week that went straight into their pockets and is sitting with them right now at their other book. I know for a fact that Ryan flew to the u.s on November 16th and picked up a 40k deposit that went straight into their pockets
This pure and simple is theft
and i doubt that 200k per week figure is true. major inflation.Last edited by zoo youk; 12-23-12, 10:30 AM.Comment -

#738inflation no
those were the numbers.. i am postitive
ok, say hypothetically SBR DID know BUT they were being told BI had another financial backer coming in, they couldn't go public with this info or else the new financial backer would be completely scared off and never enter new negotiations in a million years with that type of information out there all over the boards and it being made public already. no financial backer is going to walk into that unless things are under wraps and not out in wide open for every to know whats up. they(SBR) very well could have been stuck between a rock and a hard very very hard place. that left them very well with no options and their hands cuffed that resulted in a shitted ended with egg on their face when they really were looking out for the player but in the end it looks as if they werent.

#739If SBR were even HALF a 'watch dog' they would have downgraded them and warned players what was going on.
I suspect they figured BI had enough money laying around to at least pay them (SBR) and maybe a couple 'select' account holders. Instead EVERYONE got screwed because some crackhead and his degenerate buddies were in charge of the funds.
Thats why I say there was never more money in that place than what hadnt been picked up at the ** office.
I doubt very highly there was ever a 'financial backer'. Other than the guys posting up money.
This is EXACTLY how books used to operate, they would start up make a fancy website, offer deals and then get a clientele, thnen they would pay off anyone that was able to win AND request a withdrawal from those post ups. Thats why back in the day all those so called 'solid' and top notch books' all suddenly folded because more people actually started winning and expecting a pay out. Its easy to seem solid and respecatble when you have more money coming in than going out and you can keep it balanced.
Most books, I would say none, including the biggest and the best have enough money to cover their balance sheets, I suspect most have way less than half. They just rely on the continuing post up money, the sites like SBR that continue to recommend them and the naivete of people believing that processor issues are to blame when everyone starts getting slow paid.
if every book became transparent over night and was forced to show cash on hand, balance sheets, and other outstanding expenditures I suspect the whole industry would fold.Comment -

#740So is this the first step down the same path covers.com has taken?
1.) Affiliated Sportsbook scandal
2.) Pakistani guy pretending to be Hot Sports Betting chick
3.) Ads and Viruses showing up everywhere
4.) Removal of avatars upon inspection
5.) Full blown Swear filter in place
6.) Tumbleweeds rolling aroundComment -

#741The "backer" came in and saw that they there were losing their ass and said penetrate this and ran off with all deposits instead
The odds of getting a "new backer" is just a little bit lowComment -

#743Nutter, who cares if the 1.5m was real money... it was money that was OWED. That's all that matters. Anyone who thinks that BI ran off with the money obviously has no clue but that's neither here nor there.
Nasher, if you think you only donated to a worthy cause and SBR didn't benefit then you are not as sharp as I thought. In fact, give me ANY proof that that money did indeed go to a charity.

#747This list of accounts and balances is fake, this is a website that competes with SBR that posted it. There is no way for SBR and BI's affiliate program to know how sharp someone is who clicks on a link.Comment -

#749I guess you did not see that Justin7 and many other posters have verified that their accounts and balances were correct. You can add me to that list also. Just because the info comes from a competitor does not make it false. If you want to see some false info, look at the posts from SBR defending and promoting BI.Comment -

#764bd, considering the source of all this is a book ran by old school scammers with an already shit reputation for theft from years back who absolutely hate sbr, and their forum that bashes sbr every chance it gets, you cant rule out the possibility that some things have been doctored on that sheet... as well as other documents they have access (stolen or paid for) too...not saying the main stuff on there is false, because we know it to be true, i just wouldnt trust everything i see that am.bookie or that shithole a t b site puts out either...Comment -

Also I would lay any number that it will come out SBR was the "backer" for BI. They may have been connected with one of the crime family members arrested in the Pinnacle busts but I think any logical person who puts all the information available together will look at it and say SBR was the "money" behind this book.
Jon may have went rogue and scammed SBR in the end as its pretty clear he is a complete scumbag from his earlier work with these books but SBR_John and Jon entered into a business relationship to create a sportsbook and use the power of SBR to make it huge.
It is actually a good idea except those two idiots are so square they couldnt implement measures that would have made it sustainable long term and profitable and instead took the quick cash. There were over 170 thousand in deposits after they were insolvent and so at minimum that is what was ran off with.Last edited by Bumble29; 12-25-12, 05:42 PM.Comment -
