Are you related to tto? A mod at SBR says he has known Jon for several years, and at the same time plays at BI and would like to play there if they would allow him to -- in response to a poster asking if BI was safe. I am not going to go look for other positive spins he put out there for BI. If this doesn't sound like a recommendation to you, then there is no such thing as a recommendation. He seems to be on both sides of the street on few statements. He didn't seem to be too worried about the unsustainable business model since he played there. I think we have beat this side issue to death now.

I forgot about the "I would play there if I could". That does sound like a clear recommendation.

This is the first time we've seen this list but BI Jon stated personally that it's faked and there was never a category called "SBRmod".

If it's fake and you've never seen it before, then why did Justin7 say yesterday that he resigned several days ago? He just had a hunch that a completely fabricated list containing his name and account information would be leaked, and instead of simply disproving the fake list he'd rather quit? If it's a fake list, how have multiple posters (including Justin7 himself) been able to verify that their account balances are correct? ATB are just really good guessers? Also- on a different forum, Justin7 implied that it's been a long time since he personally defended BI. Why did SBR continue to defend BI for so long after Justin7 saw the problems? Why did Justin7 merely clam up and "stop defending" them instead of actively alerting SBR players of the issues? It's hard to believe that Justin7 had long ago received knowledge that changed his opinion of BI and in all that time the knowledge was never passed on to you or John.

Spare me the drama. BI was a B rated sponsor that went belly up. It's a terrible thing and we regret allowing them on here. Over the past 12 years there have been several B books and a couple of A books that have failed. There have been many locals vanish as well. Its one of the ugly risks of unregulated gaming.

John c'mon now its ridiculous to just shrug your shoulders and say what can you do when 80% of the members of BI were SBR referrals. SBR created the entire customer base and promoted BI from start to finish....you were getting a cut from an unbelievable 80% of its members which had signed up to a new book souly on SBRs word that they were solid, joke rating and constant promotion.

Every cent received from BetIslands (which is all money owed SBR members anyway) should be distributed to SBR members as a start...pocketing the money you helped steal from SBR members is not an option sir

I personally like you SBRJohn, I met you at the bash in 2008 and you seem like a great guy, maybe in your shoes I would've done the same thing idk, but at this point more than just a shoulder shrug needs to be offered to the SBR members you helped defraud if you care about SBRs reputation at all

I never suggested small balances; I said being able to access my funds. I understand your play and style of play.I disagree. If you add the risk of playing at a d book it minimizes your return on your winnings to make a living. Value vs. risk.
This is like a small stakes poker player turning on Game Show Network and seeing Daniel Negreanu sitting with $1M in chips in front of him, and saying "what bullshit, nobody plays no limit with that kind of money".
Nothing like that. If I have to explain this than it really does not matter. Playing no limit with much bigger stack is a bad bad example. Your whole stack is not at risk only what is in the pot is at risk. You can walk away with your money when you want. Placing a big stack at a d book immediately places your whole stack at risk and that is with out betting 1 game.

I'm one of the people you claim had to be playing on credit, who had to have been receiving referral fees to have a balance "so big". Only I wasn't on credit and have no relationship to SBR or BI.

Sharps play at all kind of books, including some that are rated D- here. There's always a risk-reward factor at play. Sometimes you get it wrong. But keeping balances, as you suggest, small enough where you can cash out in one shot would make it impossible to make a living. It's an OK strategy for a hobbyist, but it's bad advice if you want to win a lot of money.

If no money was received then SBR received no benefit from the BI fiasco, I am unfamiliar with how the affiliate system works...if you have 10 posters lose 1k each and one poster up 10k does this just cancel out and you get nothing? Is it just a % of the total losses of all posters?

If you keep those stored some where im sure you can find it. it was over a year ago we had this conversation. i have no reason to lie about this. thank god i just stuck with heritage. do what's right atleast give these people points you made money of BI take care of pro members that were apart of BI that's all i ask to make this right they took care of you. it would go along way.

Fukk, i hope it's true..maybe they convinced someone else to back them financially and start a new shop..id take any bailout right now, regardless of the book or their rating..all i have got so far is a short email this morning from comptroller@outlook saying there isnt any news on a bailout.
