So what happens to the contest they ran? i think 1st was suppose to receive a Free TV and some other decent prizes. Anyone get paid or hear anything on these prizes?

I've been as critical at SBR and John at times as anyone but I think you're slightly out of line, Payton. Up until this incident, BI had paid the bills and deserved the B rating they were given. They told everyone and SBR that payments would go out today and given their track record were given the benefit of the doubt. And they lied. Yes, lied. They knew the payments weren't going out today.

However upon learning they didn't pay, SBR swiftly took down their banner and downgraded them. What else can SBR do?

I think SBR has done fine here. As for their absence in this thread, it seems they're as in the dark as the rest of us and thats understandable. SBR isn't the problem. Betislands is the problem. Keep perspective here.

SBR and their employees have mentioned how "solid" Jon and his backer were though. Now it looks like this place was run like a joke.

I hope SBR is right about this mega whale backer.

They are on an indian reservation..and those indians could give two shits about players.

Bovada is big enough that you don't have to worry about them folding up and disappearing like a fart in the wind with player funds. You will get paid by Bovada without a doubt, just won't be same day like BI used to do when jon was running the show.

ok.. I officially lost all... have $50 in the account now.. I feel better since I don't have to chase them any more and I will just deposit @ heritage tomorrow... ppl who have under $1000 in the account should do same... if betislands start paying tomorrow, I will kick myself.. but highly doubt they will pay tomorrow.. and for now, I feel 100x better the fact that I just lost it while I played compare to betislands stealing my money...
