Poker for MAc user's... So do i have to buy windows to install on my mac?

I have 10.5 Leopard. I only browse the internet and never bothered upgrading because i could still surf the web.

the methods I posted here will work with 10.5

the requirements here are more the OS you have not how old your mac is (that would only be a problem if it couldn't run a required OS)
anything 10.4> is supported but 10.7 is the only version you can get sound with
however if you have something earlier than 10.3 the developer of winebottler says he may have older versions but you have to email him to request them

so wine will work with 10.5?

I think mine was still a 10.4, but they sent me everything so I am a 10.6.8. I would just call them and ask.

I can get SBR Poker to start up but I can't get Wine to load/create or whatever 5 Dimes or BetDSI poker any ideas?

someone tell me what im doing wrong. Think im cursed to ever play SBR poker on my mac......

my Mac is version 10.4.11

So i downloaded the wine app and opened it. After watching a few tutorials the steps seemed to say this....

1) Open the wine app



2) Drag the wine and wine bottler into the applications
3) open your applications and double click the application. In this case its SBR poker.


Here's where the first issue occurs. When i double click the application it dosent do what happens in the tutorials this screen pops up...




so i went into the main wine screen and tried to manually select the SBR poker app in the select file range. You can see i dragged it into the program and clicked install



After installing i get this error message...

Looks like you have wine downloaded just like me.

I just click on sbr poker and then the wine alert box auto pops up and I click Open.

Sorry Guy I'm not really computer savy, but I had not problem.

i think maybe it did the first time, but not any more...

My sbr poker.ink shortcut has the winebottler icon next to it.

The prefix creation w/ error seems to the the issue

also i have version 1.2.5 from the website that refresh posted. The video shows version 1.1.44. don't know if that's the issue.

Ya, shoot him a PM. Just by looking at your pics, the SBR Setup should have a wine bottle next to it, and yours doesn't.

Did you download SBR poker AFTER you downloaded and installed Winebottler?

I DLed wine bottler, then i DLed sbr poker.

Yea it has a intel processor. As per the tutorial " if the processor name has intel in it your good to go". I will try your suggestions tommorrow and report back.

Never heard of wine, and I got friends that sit around on their macs all day. I got a 2004 macbook that i will try it on, lol. We'll see if it works there. Not sure the OS.....will join this thread later with an update.

Downloaded newer version still does not work. Yesterday with the older version i had Wine and Wine bottler icons in the folder. Now all there is, is Wine. I restarted the PC and it dosent change anything. When i double click the sbr poker setup all it does is open a folder actions pop up. I tried dragging the SBR poker into the wine icon and a screen pops up that was in the tutorial vidoes but it dosent allow me to convert the file. Maybe someone can help. Here is a video.......
