What are they doing? They are looking good. Above .500 and learning a new system. Now, they go and trade away two 20 point scorers in Crawford and Randolph. In return they get a 12 pt scorer, 13 pt scorer, and a 9 pt scorer in Harrington, Mobley, and Thomas. Man, this is a big sign they are going for LeBron. You dont just traded away 2 guys like that for the junk they got in return.

#7No one on Lebrons level. Wade wont fill the seats like James. The Knicks are going balls to the wall for LeBron. I dont think they trade these 2 guys for a chance at Wade or Bosh.Comment -

#8Of course but they cannot lure him with the allure of NYC and a worse-than-current-Cavs team... someone like NASH would be the perfect pickup for them. There is even talk of signing 2 2003 draft class stars, Lebron + 1, but tthat doesn't leave much for a bench, lol.Comment -

I think there is too much hype surrounding the free agent market of 2010 because I think more of them than not will resign with their current squad for big money. LeBron alone will make it an interesting summer though.Comment -

#10Wade would be nuts to leave Miami. He's already won a ring. The fans adore him. The media wont be on him like in New York. Not mention the weather and the beautiful women. He'll get a max contract from them, so if I was him, I wouldnt go anywhere.

#13Brilliant trades. The chances of Lebron signing with the Knicks in two years just greatly improved.
Knicks might have grabbed one of the final playoff spots in the East before making these moves, and while they're not as good right now as they were 24 hours ago, they rid themselves of a hideous contract in Randolph which ran for two more years after this season. In making the two deals, the Knicks get back three players, all of whom have contracts that expire in 2010 - when Lebron's a free agent.Comment -

#14They still run into HUGE problems if they don't bounce Curry though...
I don't see neither Bosh nor Wade leaving their teams but Bosh would fit in SO well in dantoni's system. As with Amare, a big man who can rebound and shoot the 18 footer will thrive in the system.
Also, let's not forget HOW MANY fa's there are in 2010:

#15yeah LeBron is just one of many and they better not be doing all this just for a chance at LeBron, sure he is amazing player but if it doesnt work out, basically the Knicks will be back square one, trying to rebuild yet againComment -

#16I dont see anyone on the list that compares with Wade, Bosh, and LeBron. Dirk, Ginobilli, and Nash will all be in their 30's with alot of wear and tear. Joe Johnson will be in his 30's also.Comment -

#17Randolph and JC were just chuckers anyways. They will be better off with a highly efficient David Lee on the court who actually does play a little defense.Comment -

#19Too bad they're going to let DLee walk or trade him with Curry... NY loves Lee (or at least last year they did). As for the wear and tear on dirk and nash... it's true but Nash in dantoni's system paired with another superstar is still an elite PG which is more than one you can say for him this year.Comment -

If NYK doesn't get LeBron in 2010 they are going to be screwed. To me it doesn't make sense for LeBron to leave the Cavs in 2010 unless a) he's already won a championship and would now like to do it in a big market with huge cash, or b) he's going to another title contender that is a bigger market and will pay more than the Cavs. Unless the Knicks pick up some other players by then I don't see why James would want to go there. If I were him I'd rather be in Cleveland or go to New Jersey to play with Harris, Yi and Lopez (I'm guessing Carter would have to be gone to make cap room). That would be a scary ass foursome in two years. Harris will be a very good point, James is the best in the game, Lopez will grow to be a dominant big man in the NBA and Yi is that soft shooter that James and Harris can drive and dish too when the paint is covered.
James has a lot of options and the Knicks better not be putting all their eggs in his basket or they could very well end up getting screwed.Comment -

#27first of all the Knicks have the power here...nets done have anyone to put around Lebron...so thats a bust...right now its between Detroit, NYK.
Miami will prob not get wade back... I think wade is pissed they went from being so good to being so bad. He's seen Riley **** everyone over from coaches to players to coaches again...
I mean he basically said oh I got a good team here...sorry buddy your going to quit... then oh crap they are going to suck this year... lets just stop coaching now...
Riley is a douchebag.
Nash sucks in that new offense BTWComment -

#33zach randolph definitely a cut above all them
i'm thinking maybe this ny roster now will have the same amt of scoring with different guys getting open shots and someone different stepping up each night
lots of double digit scorers every night, but maybe only 1 guy with 20
ny should have enuff cap space to get good free agents in the future
from the moves that are being made recently it looks like they're doing the right things, just hope they get a break with the guys they eventually getComment -
