LVHERBIE should be allowed his change even though it was after the deadline. It is HUGE advantage to take the same games more than once, so either 2 of the picks are automatic losses, or let him change them. I vote to allow the change.

Most people took the stale lines ( I also took a couple) on BYU, LSU, ULMONROE, Vanderbilt and East Carolina. So those are big games to root against if you did not take those games

By the way, I have played in this contest about 5 times and it usually took around 21.5 points to win it. However, that was with around 25 entries.

I think that with our amount of entries that it will take 22.5 or possibly 23 points to win it all.

So in other words, if you dont win 4 of your 3 unit plays, then you are virtually out of the running for the 1st prize. Winning three of 3 unit plays just wont cut it unless you go 10-0 in the other picks

Sure it would be nice to have the scores updated everyday after Jan 1st, but updating them before that wouldnt help at all

they would have to keep track of record for each unit size, and if they wait to january 1st they are going to be making more work for themselves IMO, would be easier to start from day 1.

i was kinda figuring 4-1 3-2 3-2 but i guess thats only 21 points.

I came in 2nd with 22.5 and 3rd with 19. Both had fields of about 20 players. Anything over 20 will have a chance to cash but it will probably take 23 to get the $5000.

A whole lot of the teams will virtuall be eliminated tonight if BYU doesnt cover the -2.5 (including myself by the way). Most everyone who took BYU took it as a 3 unit play.

It appears that at least 17 teams took BYU as a 3 unit play and another 12 guys took them as a 2 unit play.

I know that the standings are important, but you can use this as a gauge. If you cannot make it to 22 points by winning your remaining games, then you have no shot at placing in this contest.

John, do ties split the prizes?

I hear ya. I'm on them too. I think they win easily. SDSU is not good but all of us on one side is cause for concern. Nothing is that easy in this racquet.

Well I made the post after that interception for a TD that didnt count. I expected a field goal at least that drive.

But either way, BYU cant do shit thus far. It is just incredible! I listened to alot of other posters on this pick too, so I wasnt alone I guess.

THE ONLY GOOD thing is that BYU gets the ball first in the second half. During halftime, BYU has to come up with a way to stop the blitz

I think that I will let them do it. It took way too long just to do 1 game. It wouldnt even be worth the points that posters would give for doing them. Might be worth about 300 points a day since I am watching sports while doing it, but probably wouldnt get that. SBR will update the standings on a regular basis I am sure. But mark my words, this shit is tough.

But actually, I was doing the standings where people who had 3 points and so forth and then the guys that lost what their new max possible was.

For instance, I have 3 points with a MAX of 30.

ouman101 has zero points with a MAX of 27

Knowing what the max possible score is actually just as important as the actual score

Did Tx3 take BYU - they were the stalest line in the competition by far.

I agree for 3 quarters i thought a bunch here were Fked, on a coin flip game, a no play at best for me. With so many players it takes winning games like that tho.

I was just trying to add a few comments to the forum to get away from the damn betislands threads. Most of the guys complaining didnt have a DIME in the book. Or they had an account with funds, but those funds were built from freeplay shill funds
