With sweatpants and a "I'm With Stupid" T-shirt, you'll be a minge-magnet. Thank me later.

Nice suit. No tie and undo the very top button and the button underneath it on the shirt.Dressy but not to stuffy. Just go with simple and proven. Your 40 and going to a play. Not 22 going to a new club that all the kids are going to.

And the suit, you will need for your sisters wedding. Might as well get it now and put some use to it instead of only wearing it once.

Are 22 year olds the only people who wear jeans? There's no need to wear a suit. Just because you're 40, doesn't mean you can't be fashionable.

Do you still wear jeans when you go to an upscale restaurant? Or the symphony?

Most of the time. Jeans, button down, and a sportcoat. That's what most people wear on the west coast and Vegas when they go out. I wear suits on occasion, however, albeit rarely.

Just different styles. Nothing wrong with it. Be pretty boring if we all dressed the same. I like to wear suits when I can. Dont wear ties though.(Hate 'em)

This is the answer I've been waiting for.

I see two keys to success here.

                    1) I know what to wear.

                    2) I should repeatedly work the word "minge" into the conversation.

Panic, I love men in suits. You just impressed me.

Mudcat, you are most welcome. I wish you the best of luck for your evening.

Wearing a suit and tie all the time can be a pain. Although suit shopping is oddly satisfying. I just got a tux, now wearing that when I can is fun.
