I'm at 69%, so that means that'd I'd win......not.

Dave and Pags both do good work, it just depends who's style you prefer. I'm still [relatively] new to this, and it takes balls to put your picks out there every week for critique.

This is not a hate comment so don't take it as one Pags11, because you tend to be alittle sensitive when it comes to questioning anything about you, but I never knew one guy who claims to be a "recreational player" to study alot of film each day of the football season. Now it's clearly paid off for you because your just under a 60 % success rate which is excellent. I wish I had the time to do so and I'm sure my % would be alot higher.

the definition of recreational is doing something that is fun basically....Also I think he was referring the the amount he wagers on each game mostly...in the sense that he doesnt bet the large money on games that "pros" do

Why would you want to tail someone who is actually losing money. No offense to "Vegas Dave" but as he should know, claiming to be Mr. Vegas, 51.4% is a loser. Pags at 58.8% is a good number, and should be respected. But the people who are correct in here are the ones that say to tail no one. If you guys can't figure it out yourself, you have no business wagering. It will be interesting to see how many people are honest enough to admit that they ended up losers this year.

Now that has to be one of the classics. Notice how he said he was too emotionally spent to "continue POSTING his picks". He never said that he would stop making picks, and wagers, if he actually wagers at all. Anyone that allows their emotions to interfere with their 'capping is a sure fire loser. Wal, my friend. Having convinced your syndicate to lay $60,000.00 on a game is pressure. There is absolutely no pressure posting picks in this, or any other sports forum. If people are silly enough to follow anyone, they get what they pay for. I think the problem here is that pags is simply not a true gambler. True gamblers do not allow emotions to get in the way of the goal, which is to make money.

Now as far as SBR failing, so has every other Sports Forum. The problem is very simple. The losers who flock to Vegas and give their money to the casinos have now flocked to Sports Forums, looking for a way to win. These guys read books, come up with silly mathematical equations, boast a lot, and lose a lot more. You have seen them. Take team A. It's a lock. It's money in the bank. Yadayadayada. These guys spend so much time on technicalities that they forget the basics, like how to pick a winner. They look to make pennies, when ther are dollars to be made. They operate from a position of weakness and leave themselves vulnerable to becoming victins of all kinds of scams. Because the Sports Forums get so many of these clowns, who post, lose, and disappear, the people who legitimately look at these forums consider them nothing more than a joke. There is nothing that can be done. The forums have to police themsleves.

This is going to continue for the forseeable future. 85% of gamblers are losers, and it is no different in this forum. The difference is that people can attempt to hide it here. That is why you see so few people using the spreadsheet. They do not want to get caught in the truth. Just ignore the people who refuse to make picks or use the spreadsheet. There are many in here. People who are not willing to put their money where their mouths are deserve to be ignored. If people ignore them, they will eventually leave.
