          Defenders are stronger than ever and also the substance abuse policy now weeds out most of the juicers. This makes how Barber closes games much more impressive.

                  Today's teams are watered down because of more teams, salary caps and crackdown on steroids.

                  When Bo played, pretty much everyone was on the juice.

                            My thought on reading this thread: I guess no one watched Earl Campbell.

                            Maybe I got the years wrong and he is slightly before 1980. But guys like Barber and Jacobs have a hell of a lot of work to do before they deserve mention in the same breath.
