Where is Jacobs in big games?

      Absent.

This guy closes as if his name was Mariano.

Jacobs fumbles too much. He wasn't the best back at Auburn, He transfered because Cadillac Williams and Ronnie Brown started in front of him.

actually, I think Barber has a good case here. A much better case than Jacobs, that's for sure.

I believe Jacobs has a ring. The one in the picture loses in the first round of playoffs.

Nigerian Nightmare was a beast, maybe not the best, but was def. a cornerbacks worst nightmare.

Point is Barber runs differently than guys like Jacobs in 4th quarters. He is a big time closer.

Couple months in Texas and you've already turned into a homer.

                                                  Jacobs vs. Barber III

I'm not to quick to call either Barber or Jacobs the best power back of the last 28+ years but I would say that Barber is a much more powerful runner just for his size. Jacobs has 4" and 45lbs on Barber which take it or leave it makes him seem much more powerful than many other physically smaller power runners. But Jacobs if anything has the Super Bowl ring and is on a 9-1 team destined for playoff success again.

Let's also consider that defenders are bigger and stronger than they were today than ten or more years ago.

I cannot argue with Barber being the best power back in the NFL at this point in time.

I absolutely love Barber and the way he runs the ball, but give me Brandon Jacobs as my starting RB over him any day. Both are great, but I prefer Jacobs and consider him the better and more powerful RB.
