I just don't get the value on Justin7's formula or how easily these guys don't care about the top posters who helped create the greatness that SBR is now....

I understand the higher up's don't wanna cave, but I could list 5-7 posters' that left over the years that I would of never let go...

They use SBR Odds, visit Sportsbook and Industry, the Think Tank, Service Plays, use the SBR Points book or play poker to get their fix, enter contests, etc. A large chunk of them have zero posts. And beyond all that, there was a reason SBR took away the requirement to post for daily points. But in the end they're not going to beg anyone to stay here. Not me, you, or anyone else. Why have someone here if they'd rather be elsewhere?

TT was acknowledged. I thought he made an excellent Fantasy Mod and when he mainly focused on that I think he brought a lot of value here. I feel a bit embarrassed as I recommended him for that role and also gave him plenty of advice behind the scenes as to how to go about things when he seemed to go off the rails a bit. Unfortunately most of what I told him didn't seem to get through... or if it did it didn't last for long. Not sure what else could have been done to fix that situation.

The thing is that we live in a egotistical world. The worst thing about it is that our ego's have become so big that acknowledgement doesn't excite people unless they respect the person it's coming from.

POTM when JJ was running it was a key piece in this site, there's a reason why he would incorporate new posters and just by them having their named mention made them post more.

Capper of the month seems more appropriate but its less personal...

What makes the site better? I mean very few cappers are winning long term, and most come here for comfort...

I post for the fukk of it. Acknowledgement is real low on my list of priorities. I am never mentioned in the "poster of the month/best capper/power poster" discussions. Fukk cares. Every post I make, I try to contribute a little something, whether it be humor, a play, some capping information or a personal contribution to another poster. Through in the odd pseudo e-battle to keep the wits sharp and there you go.

I post for what I can put into it, not what I can get out of it. It makes me laugh, feel good, grab some info or blow of some fukkin steam.

I've stood up for TT ever since he gave me advise on my fantasy team.

But...

I'm going to have to agree with SBR. I don't like they're making a joke outta it, but TT is NOT mod material. He was posting way over his head. Not just that, he's too hated on this forum. A mod has to be like a coach, if everyone hates him and they're losing, it's mutiny. If he stuck to his fantasy forum and giving out fantasy advise (good or bad) and just being a good host, I would stick up for him. But it's his drama-whoring, and his threats, and just his overall childishness (I'm going to sue Lou!!! Waaah!), it's just annoying.
