So neocons explain why gas price has dropped from $4.99 to $1.99
for years you neocons claimed it was due to China becoming an economic powerhouse and using tons of gas as a result. So that's obviously not it.
So what's the real reason?

Perhaps after you finish high school you could enroll in Economics 101 at your local community college.

I am not an economist but I think it has to do with low demand. The supply is always there.

Maybe gas companies like ExxonMobil figured out they can't buy off Obama and his democrats. They are scared that they were making the huge profits while American's were suffering, and if they gouge Americans the democrats (with a mandate) are going to destroy them.

Yes that's it.
It has nothing to do with the world wide recession and falling demand it's all a conspiracy theory.
Don't mean to bust your balls pal but why does someone trading oil stocks is working night shift at Taco Bell?

I'm not criticizing your job. A man has to do what he has to do to feed himself. I am criticizing your oil stock trading advice.

burito is obviously clueless about world economics as he's about sports betting.
stick to riding donkeys and withdrawing 5,000 pesos a day from books.
Supply and demand has nothing to do with this. OPEC has been slashing production for years. It's called speculators and market manipulation.

I never said it has nothing to do with that. People had already mentioned that there is not as much demand (obviously due to the recent events in the economy), so why would I want to say something that was already said, and is obvious? I was just offering an alternative idea that I believe is not a conspiracy theory at all. Why do you suppose oil companies have lobbyists working in the Capitol? A lot of money changes hand, and lobbying firms are paid big money to gain access to important political people Obviously, certain political situations are favorable to the oil companies, and they know that they are safer from investigation if the people they support (usually with large campaign contributions) are in power. The people in power set the agenda in Washington, and if the people were complaining about inflated gas prices I think the oil companies would be in some serious doo doo in the current political situation. I am not sure oil companies could have gotten away with their record profits, while Americans were suffering, if the Democrats had controlled Washington.
I don't know why you are being fresh with me.

The sad thing is that a guy working at Taco Bell can probably pick stocks better than most goofs working in the "financial industry".
Hey Pavy, not looking for respect.
What makes you think that?

Deluxliner,
You bring up an interesting point. Who we have in Washington matters. Oil prices didn't suddenly spike from $1.20 to $4.99 for no reason. Bush got the ball rolling in 2001 when he purchased millions of oil from private refineries, this action alone almost doubled the price of barrel of oil overnight. Then he put the 2nd largest oil country offline when he invaded Iraq to save Cheney's Haliburton from brink of bankruptcy.
Ignore burito. That donkey driver is an absolute joke and a dishonorable loser. He lost a "loser leaves SBR" bet with another member but was back posting in a week. He also "left" SBR forever then was back posting within weeks when no one gave a damn. The kid is an absolute joke and a loser.

Where does a donkey driver get that kinda money? It's obviously not from gambling as he always loses every pick he posts.
This from an idiot that couldn't afford insurance in the US so had to move to the 3rd world.

There is no need to be an economist. There may be other variables to take into consideration though, but the main reason is pure and simple; the whole world's economy is in recesion and the demand is falling, low demand + high offer = low prices.

Finske, if you come pick it up I've got a Vespa you can have. The thing has no balls for climbing hills, and that pretty much renders it worthless out here. It was a blast to ride....until my friends saw me.
