Not true at all, and this game is a perfect example. Nebraska is home and a lot of well respected power ratings only have Michigan -2 neutral over Michigan, so this line makes perfect sense. And the betting on the game is about 50/50, so being ranked doesn't hold that much weight with bettors. And most importantly, any trend that doesn't take the spread into account is meaningless. Idiots that blindly follow the trend wouldn't care if Nebraska was -1 or -10.

Been following this trend for years........Whenever you have an unranked team giving a ranked team points, whether it's college football or college basketball, the unranked team covers pretty close to 80% of the time.....Huskers tonight.

In the NFL, you can use that as Atlanta 6-0 "ranked" vs Philly 3-3 "unranked" and Philly favorite.
