There are soo many good money making opportunities in weed now especially in Cally and Colorado. He should just go there and become a millionaire without breaking a state law.

YES. Weed does not kill like drinking and driving. States need revenue real bad and besides med.weed, pot will be legal in every state in about 5 years.(IMO)...............Weed is A OK in my book.

Its not that weed is bad, its the fact he was dumb enough to have it around knowing whats at stake if he gets caught.

Noone can trump Nate "The Great" Newton. Guy was caugh with 213 lbs of weed, then five weeks later 175 lbs, yet somehow managed to make 6 pro bowls and win 3 super bowl rings.

Drunkeness leads to a huge percentage of all crimes. The crime usually associated with marijuana is posessing it. What a backwards country, soo many idiots are making money enforcing this stupidity. Rehabs alone get a large portion of their business from court appointed clients who have done nothing more than possess weed

Many, many athletes can smoke weed on off days and maintain elite physical performance. If you have the vice that he seems to, he needs to kick the habit if he is going to succeed. Heck, Dock Ellis (supposedly) threw a no-hitter while on LSD, it can be done folks, some people just have that natural ability.

And as a competitive golfer, I can tell you that sometimes you get in your own head, and smoking a little can help you relax and get back on track.

I love "moral" people they tend to be judgemental of everything outside of their moral code, thus reinforcing their own superiority. At the end of the day, most people have the same fundamental morals and do not commit any serious violations against humanity.

put his ass in angola prison for 6 months

they would love his red-bone booty

he would be released a man with his head on straight

I'm not condoning his actions, but I see something that needs to be addressed in here...

For all of you who think Mathieu 'sucked' or was 'overrated':

Guy was undersized, but was the most electrifying player in the country last year.
He played in the toughest conference in America and faced the toughest schedule in the nation last year.
He single handedly brought LSU back from the dead in 4 fukking games.
He was the most valuable player on a team that went to the BCS National Championship Game.
No one in the country made more game changing plays than he did.

Watch some film on him before he was the 'Honeybadger' and you will notice that he was still a solid player. He was overshadowed by Patrick Peterson, but that's only because Peterson was the big name upperclassman. Mathieu was only a freshman that year. Think about it. Mathieu was only 19 yrs old and was invited to NY as a Heisman finalist as a defensive player. To say that he was not very good only confirms that many people don't know what the fukk they're talking about on here.

This thread wasn't intended to be about morals. I don't care if people smoke weed. I used to smoke it every fukkin day. It's about the circumstances of his situation and how he's jeopardizing his career. I don't think anyone can dispute that. Fukkin moron

                                                        tragic, really.
                                                        kid is incredibly gifted athletically,
but too daft to keep his ganja smoke undercover...
hard to tell a twenty year old kid anything, in my experience...
f@#k, man- when I was twenty, you couldn't tell me a damn thing!
thought I was f@#kin' indestructible and above the law-
and I'm not a superstar cornerback for the bayou bengals, either.
hope he chooses to fly right and salvage his career,
but the law of probability would indicate otherwise,
and, sadly, I'm not optimistic. tragic. good luck, bros.

he got caught smoking synthetic weed (you can buy it in gas stations). it is not even banned by the NCAA I don't believe, he was caught by LSU drug tests.

and then his house got caught with weed with the majority of it being bagged and in one of his roommates backpack.

LOCK THIS KID UP AND THROW AWAY THE KEY......

No doubt, soo many idiots jump to conclusions and judge. It most likely involved law enforcement jackasses with nothing better to do than create problems where there were none.

Let the kid do something wrong before you judge him and jeopordize his career. Possessing and smoking weed is a personal choice and until the habit manifest itself in erractic or offensive behavor, it should not be a bid deal. Kareem and Bill Walton smoke it all the time, among millions of others who live happy productive lives.

Judge his actions. The fact he may have possessed weed, does not indicate anything negative about him. When he does something irresponsibe or destructive, then get back with me.
