This is what I think of every time I see a story like this. These dudes are gifted and have the opportunity to get paid millions of dollars for playing a fukkinga game, but they mess it up with stupid shit like this. If you're going to smoke or whatever, do it at home in private.

Why not just let the kid smoke his weed. Alcohol is much more destructive on a medical as well as societal level. It will be legal in 20 -30 years when outdated uninformed opinions and special interest groups who feel financially threatened by marijuana legislation are finally defeated. I have smoked pot with many NCAA althletes, many of whom do quite well in school and in their chosen professions. One recently was hired to coach.

As long as he avoids jail, he will go to the NFL. He clearly has some problems upstairs that need to be addressed, hope those get taken care of cause it really was fun to watch the guy play football.

As far as I know his mistake was having far more than consumption for one person. They would have let him smoke his weed, they just won't let him sell it to anyone else.

There's no chance he will be drafted even remotely close to as high as he would have been if all this hadn't happened.

Definitely why teams have put soo many resources into character and background checks, soo many of these guys come from rough backgrounds and have unresolved issues that manifest themselves in self destructive behavior that destroys the teams' investment in them.

Beasley got caught with weed, sucks, and still continues to play in NBA. Pacman has had too many run ins to count. Jerome Simpson was caught with enough weed to supply all of Ohio for months. Dez Bryant beat his own mother! They are all still going strong.

It may cost him some cash initially, but if he plays well on that rookie contract he WILL get if he turns his life around, then he will make millions and this will all be forgotten.

Bro I think you're overlooking what his draft stock used to be and the multi-million dollar contract that would've came along with that draft selection.

Now he's buried himself. Like Bronxer said how's he going to stay in elite football shape while not even playing? Not only is he not playing but he's sitting around on his couch smoking weed all day.

This isn't just a no biggie small slip up. It's completely jeopardizing his whole career and costing him an unreal amount of money
