Prince will need to do more than specialize in celebration high fives and game ending pop-ups if the Tigers are going to have a chance. It seems everybody on the Giants is hitting, which in turn just gives them more outs in this series it seems.

Like the Cardinals last year overcoming so many near death situations in their path to title, Giants is destined to win it all this year. Long layoff time is not good for Tigers. Playoff is all about momentum and rhythm.

Detroit will win this series. Big deal they won 3 in a row. They did the same thing against Cincy and the "momentum" meant jack shit.

Giants haven't faced any pitching even close to Detroit's. Verlander wins Game 1 and Tigers at worst split before coming back home and probably finishing them off there.

It has nothing to do with hate. The Giants are overmatched on the mound and at the plate and the middle 3 at home for Detroit will work in their favor. Posey and Pence have been shit and it will finally catch up to them.

The hourglass finally ran out on the Cards magic. They handed San Fran that series with mistake after mistake. Detroit won't do that.

During the Offseason I got the Giants at 20 to 1 odds and Tigers at 8 to 1 odds. Also had Phillies 5.5 to 1 odds and Cardinals 20 to 1 odds.
This game is a lock for me. I don't need to bet and let it ride out.

Cards had a good run but reality set in. Detroit makes lots of mistakes. How good is there defense and catcher at throwing out runners?

Only 2 Giants are hitting better than .250 in playoffs. Panda and Scutaro. The rest of the team aint hitting for shiit.

Thinking along the same lines LB. Verlander did have something like 8 losses this year so he is beatable. If Zito can come close to his last outing, this could be a very interesting game and the plus money is where you want to be. The thing is that the SF series price is very close to what Zito's price is for game 1. In addition, SF does seem to start off slow and finish strong so the longer the series goes, the more it would favour SF of winning. Not sure I like Bumgarner against Fister for game 2 so I'm leaning towards taking Zito in game 1 and then Detroit in game 2. After that when it comes down to a best of 5, I'll consider taking the SF series price as they should still be a dog with games 3/4/5 all being in Detroit. Good luck in your plays.

but I agree it's not about the PLUS money. it's value. Giants have momentum, take them while they are hot. As for me, I'm taking them game 1 with Zito. If they lose, then I'll take the series bet for +200 value.

No this isn't a fade pick. It is a good choice based on the return and the advantage you have in numerous statistical areas. Having a +155 ML for a team such as the Giants is great value IMHO. I was on this line as soon as it came out, Giants are the play tomorrow, this is not the Oakland A's or NY Yankees (playoffs) we are talking about a team that gets clutch hits with RISP, and actually was one of the highest Runs Per Game Avg. of any team after the All-star break, they have a better bullpen (understatement), and Zito unconventionally will come and pitch his life out tomorrow.
