Working great, doesn't bother me a bit, 'cause my elected officials could give 2 shits about it.

Some of you want to paint this as a rich vs poor thing. The saddest part is higher taxes on the wealthy and business in general hurt the poorest among us the most. I'll lay people off if my business incurs unexpected cost increases and stop pay increases if costs go up as will millions of businesses. Higher taxes are bad for everyone, rich or poor. Higher taxes only benefits the government.
You guys who think all you need to do is ask the rich to "pay a little more" are misinformed. We already pay a business tax rate double Canada and the rest of the world. Taxes are ALREADY SKY HIGH. Government spending is the greatest threat to all Americans. It has to be cut drastically. Taxes need to be cut drastically as well for everyone.

If and when its really over you will see the line jump to -800+. Until then no one knows.

In my opinion pinnacle is the sharpest book in the world and they have Obama at -332 right now. Unless that number drops down to where it was a week ago (-200 through -220) then Im not going to worry.
Seconds after I posted the above I checked Pinnacle again and it had jumped a significant amount...
Obama now up to -358
Im guessing this thing hits -400 within the next 24 hours

The numbers are moving rapidly but in a tight range. I would have thought one of the candidates would have pulled away this close to the election. Several new states are moving closer to Romney while Ohio stays by the thinnest of threads to Obama. Also, Florida and Virgina may not be in the bag for Romney after all. You also have cold weather on election day in Penn which will favor Romney and now that state is in play. Going to be fun.

I would hope more white people would be on govt assitance being the majority, it's not stereotypes it's facts you just said black people make up 37% of food stamps, don't you think there is an issue for whatever reason 37% on stamps are black and only make up12% of population

Would love to see your numbers not from typing "blacks on welfare" into Google? Because blacks do not simply make up 38% of welfare. Do you know the definition of the term "welfare"? It's not a single entity. Welfare covers all personal government aid. There's no government fund just called "welfare". Don't start with the black stereotype please. Black single mothers make up 39%, while white single mothers make up 38.1% of AFDC only, not all welfare aid, almost no difference. On the flip side, food stamp recipients are 37% black and 46.2% white. Medicaid benefits are paid to 27.5% black and 48.5% white. That's right folks, WHITE PEOPLEget more government "welfare" aid than Blacks. I fukkin' hate stupid racial stereotypes.

Oh I think there's tons of issues, but I do not rank being lazy among the top 10. Racial hysteria for one, gets dismissed relentlessly by the right wing when it's staring everyone in the face. Look at the education level of inner city and urban development youth and drop out rates, look at housing projects and "ghettos" where many families are forced to live. Do you know that minorities moving into middle class and especially upper class communities across the country still, to this day, drive down housing prices? So much so that community organization councils routinely contact the FHA to propose income level standards that ONLY apply to new prospective buyers? That is a fukkin' joke. We need to help minorities to succeed not hinder their progress in hopes that maybe if they realize they're not wanted they'll just leave. Seriously, what the fuk is wrong with some people?
In the minds of many, if not a majority, of conservative, right wing individuals, all that is bullshit and they're just a race of worthless lazy criminals. I can't stand ignorance. And people wonder why a large majority of black people voted for Obama...
Just because you say slavery ended this long ago and there's even a black president, blah blah blah, that doesn't mean there still isn't rampant racism in every facet of everyday life in this country. It's just not staring you directly in the face and yelling n-bombs, it's much more subtle and at times even not so subtle.

Political betting is FAR more reliable than Football betting as an indicator of what's gonna happen. I've seen -800 favorites lose in football, so your argument holds no merit.

I already debunked your assertion that business taxes in the U.S. are double that of Canada and the "rest of the world." In fact we're 21st in the world by business tax burden, behind almost every country in Western Europe, Japan, Brazil and China. Those last two countries are especially of note, since they have wildly successful economies in spite of higher tax rates for individuals and businesses than our current rates.
You say if taxes go up, you have to lay off people and freeze wages. Why don't you take a pay cut yourself in order to keep your staff paid at the wages you hired them to work for? Are you already taking less out of SBR than your lowest paid worker? How much do you really do compared to that person? I'd like to know the answers to those questions before I believe that your objection to taxation isn't just pure avarice.
You're wrong when you try to paint this as a rich vs. poor argument. It's about those who look out for themselves first vs. those who look out for society as a whole.
If it were just rich vs. poor, you wouldn't have the richest people in America (Bill and Melinda Gates, Warren Buffett) donating the vast majority of their wealth to charity and arguing that the rich need to be taxed far more in America. Who would know better than them? Definitely not some fry cook turned forum owner who cares so much about the state of the American economy that he moved his entire company out of the country. Even more galling is that with the offshore structure of SBR, you assuredly pay less to the IRS than 99% of SBR's American posters, you pay your bills with their gambling losses, then spend all this time whining to us about how you still pay too much.
GTFO, John.

Very well put. Bingo, this is the answer to all this country's problems. Take the pay cut, give your workers incentive to work hard and stay with your company. A modest pay cut of less than 10% for the nation's largest domestic conglomerates while maintaining their work force, would erase the entire deficit in 10-12 years. Too bad those people aren't satisfied with earning just $27 million to help out their own company and the country instead of $30 million. Pathetic.
In all honesty (I don't know if this statement includes SBR), if you outsource the majority of your labor you really have no basis to form any argument about the state of the economy, because you are part of the problem, not the solution.

Sorry Rogue, I don't bother reading your stuff. Nothing personal, its just too predictable and long winded. Basically a rewrite of I'm a redneck and you're a f\*g and I'm rich and your poor so I should give you all my money and let the government take an even bigger cut and because thats just not enough let them borrow and give broke dik clowns even more so we can go totally bankrupt because its somehow good blah blah.
As far as political odds and events I can assure you a -200 election is no less/more likely to win than a -200 priced football game. Think about it.
As far as Intrade goes, look at the action just today. With heavy volume Obama has gone from down 2 points early to up a little to back down 2 points. Just crazy and on very heavy volume. I've seen many 1000 contract bids and offers where there is normally 30-50. This is getting pretty interesting. I am looking to buy on a break over 75 for Obama and 55 for Romney. There are plenty of bids to stop out if you get caught in a reverse.

He hasn't won anything yet. I'm sure he would love to cancel the election.
His vote for "revenge" statement is pretty comical. I thought only losers sought revenge? The body language of Obama and his surrogates is pretty telling. They are nervous almost even desperate.
I prefer Intrade because millions of dollars have changed hands betting the race. Currently;
