#36LT, How does OU get the tiebreaker? What decides that? I know that Tech beat Texas but Texas beat OU. Does it go by highest ranking at the time? I was thinking about that the other day...a 3 way tie seems like a mess in that division.....Comment -

#37All three teams will have beaten each other, so next tiebreaker is higher ranked team. That would be Oklahoma with a win over Tech.Comment -

#38That is going to get messy...Still looks like Texas might have a shot....I think I still put Texas ahead of OU unless OU beats Tech by about 20.Originally posted by LT ProfitsAll three teams will have beaten each other, so next tiebreaker is higher ranked team. #40Hmm, Oklahoma is ahead in the polls but Texas is ranked higher in the BCS because they have a big edge in computer rankings. Now the question becomes which rankings does the Big 12 look at to determine representative, and that I honestly don't know.Comment -

#45you're out of your mind. Thats why 3 of the top 5 teams are from the Big 12. Thats why OSU is still ranked higher than LSU....each having 2 losses. Big 12 is better conference this year. Tech wins by 36....Alabama wins in OT by 6. C'mon.Comment -

#46Winning on the road in college football (especially the SEC) in a game of that caliber is extremely tough to do.....Bama has gone on the road to beat Georgia and LSU this year.....Please tell me what Tech has done to be ranked above them????
Big12 is extrememly good, but none of them play defense. Tech needed overtime to beat NEBRASKA at home, they needed a last second win to beat Texas at home, and they struggled for a large part of the game against A&M. To put Tech above Bama because of last nights game is stupid.....Use common sense.
It's a well-known fact that a road win against a solid team is always viewed as a bigger victory than a home win against solid teamComment -

#49exactly Tech is going to lost to Oklahoma so it doesnt really matter...they wont be in the national championship.
And Panic I am not saying that Bama is better or that Tech is better. I am simply saying that if you think Tech deserves to move ahead of Bama BECAUSE of last nights games then you are wrong.Comment -

#58Yes I would give that to you (if it were legal of courseOriginally posted by donjuanCan I get +2000 that it isn't?
), because the odds are greater than 20-1 that either Texas, Texas Tech or Okalhoma will NOT win Big 12 Champioship.

#60YES!!! did you see what Texas did to them? Missouri is a joke against decent competition....That wasnt discovered until late in the season though when too many people already were convinced they were good. #61We are saying two different things. What I am saying is that if there was a prop offered RIGHT NOW of "Any other team besides Texas, Texas Tech or Oklahoma winning the Big 12", I think the odds would be higher than 20-1.Originally posted by donjuanSo Missouri is worse than 20-1 against Texas, TT or OU on a neutral field?
In your case, you are already assuming Missouri would be the opponent. Have Kansas and Nebraska been eliminated? I'm pretty sure Kansas wins the division if they win out because they close at Missouri. Granted, Nebraska needs more help, but they are mathematically alive.Comment -

#63Kansas going to the Big 12 championship is a minuscule proposition. It includes beating Texas and Missouri and Nebraska losing to either K-State or CU. If Kansas loses to Texas and beats Mizzou, Mizzou still goes to the Big 12 Championship if they beat Iowa State. If Kansas wins out and Nebraska wins out, Missouri STILL goes to the Big 12 Championship in all likelihood due to having a higher BCS standing (3-way tiebreaker). Nebraska is even smaller. They need to beat both K-State and CU, Missouri to lose to both Kansas and Iowa State, and have Kansas beat Texas. In your case, you are already assuming Missouri woulb be the opponent. #64I see Missouri as a minimum 14 point dog to any of those teams, or at least they should be....
I was only half serious that they are 20-1 against any of those teams.....which is why I wouldnt give you +2000 haha...but realisticly it'll be SEC vs. Big 12Comment
