If they keep winning as they are, since Alabama needed overtime to beat LSU? I think if Texas Tech pours it on Oklahoma State, I think they should jump up to #1.

#8Not if they only beat them by 1. They would probably still put Alabama up there...which I disagree with. If they beat OSU...wether by 1 or 40...they should be #1.Comment -

#18Knocking down Bama because they needed OT to beat LSU makes a lot of sense.
Almost too much sense.
Let's not forget that TT needed a last second miracle play to beat Texas at home after blowing a huge lead.Comment -

#21Outside of Utah and Boise, any team in the top 10 could beat each other. You cannot say with any certainty who the best team is.
****, throw Ohio State in there, they can at least play defense.Comment -

#23Alabama needed OT to beat LSU. They only beat Kentucky by 3 and Ole Miss by 4. Really, who have they played? Georgia? Georgia is getting exposed for the fraud that they are as well. They should have lost today. Making it 3 losses on the year. Alabama really hasnt beat any powerhouses like Tech is. Tech should be #1.Comment -

#24unreal.
it is the same f'kin argument every week, but the teams change.
First it's USC, then it is Oklahoma, then Florida, then Penn State, then Texas, Texas Tech, Florida again etc...
We will just have to wait January.Comment -

#32I think Alabama should remain #1, based on how the polling works.
Of course if we go by best team, I would've ranked Florida #1 after last week.[quote=jjgold;5683305]I win again like usual

#33The path to the championship:
Florida vs. Alabama for 1 slot. If Either Bama or Florida loses between now and then USC will be rooting for the team that has lost. So, if Florida has 1 loss by game time, USC will be rooting for Florida.
Texas Tech controls their own destiny, and it is possible that Oklahoma does as well. Texas definitely needs help in that they need Tech to lose, but that might not be enough as Oklahoma will likely pass them in the BCS standings by beating Ok St and Tex Tech. Again, USC will be rooting for the team from the Big 12 North in the Big 12 championship game.
As I've been mentioning, USC is on the outside looking in and need help. Oddly enough if favorites win every game from now until the Bowls the national championship game is probably Florida-Oklahoma. Wierd stuff.Comment -

#34Oh, and let me be clear, it doesn't matter who is number 1 now. What matters is your path to the title.
Clear: Texas Tech, Alabama, Florida.
Cloudy: Oklahoma.
Definitely need help: Texas, USC.Comment -

#35It is now a virtual certainty that BCS Championship Game will be SEC vs. Big 12.
That said, I am going with Florida vs. Oklahoma.
I think Texas Tech will lose their only game of the year vs. Oklahoma, meaning the there will be a three-way tie between Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Texas. That would put Oklahoma in the Big 12 Championship Game vs. the sacraficial lamb from the south division.Comment
