Last year, Ohio State and Illinois played in BCS games how did they do bigboydan? They got smashed. Where do you come up with this shit.

Incase you miss the last two national championship games in which Big 10 got to show what they were made of and they got DESTROYED. We didn't even have to wait for the national championship this year as Ohio State and the Big 10 already gave us a glimp of what will happen if another one of their overrated team makes the championship game or a BCS game by getting destroyed by USC.

Look at the Penn St. and Ohio State game. Penn St had been scoring a bunch of points on all these weak ass teams from the Big 10 and then they play a team that was embarrassed by a real team USC and couldnt score. They got 1 touchdown on a turnover that they only had to go 30 yards. If it wasn't for that they would have won with a fieldgoal. There is a reason Texas Tech jumped Penn St in the BCS polls because if Penn St played in the Big 12 they would have 2 losses already. I went to school at University of Minnesota so I got to see this conference for 4 years and they aren't nearly as good as some people think they are. Like I said before they had their chance early in the year to show what they are and USC pretty much made them look like a high school squad so I don't know how you could even mention the Big 10 in this thread.

But yes, they do win alot of toilet bowl games!

First time poster, and have to go with the Big 12. The Big 12 South is more to the point. Prolific offences, so naturally the defensive stats are going to lag a bit. They had a respectible bowl record (5-3), with the SEC topping all at 7-2. Most years I'd give the nod to the SEC, but the Big 12 South is murder's row this year.
If any team in the country had to play Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech in consecutive weeks, their defensive stats would take a dip. Having said all that Florida win the Nation Championship after crushing Alabama in the SEC championship.

        Big 12.

(Call me crazy, but I actually like wagering on the WAC.)

You can't convince someone who hasn't grown up around the SEC that it is the best conference year in and year out. You can't blame anyone for being loyal to their conference. You'll never change the mind of an SEC fan to even consider the Pac 10 as a tougher or even better conference.

Fact remains this year Big 12 and SEC are better conferences. USC may be an equal team but as far as a conference goes anyone honest couldn't justify it. Penn State is a much better total team than the previous Ohio State offerings and thus like USC are among the best teams but like the Pac 10 the Big 10 is a bust.

So set it up like this and decide from there.

            Game #1
            USC vs Penn State

            Game #2
            LSU vs Oklahoma State

            Game #3
            Georgia vs Texas

            Game #4
            Florida vs Oklahoma

            Game #5
            Alabama vs Texas Tech

Course it's too hypathetical we'll never answer this question cause we'll never see it decided on the field.

Are we talking recent here? or all time?

              Big 10 all time.

Ohio State and Michigan are giant programs on their own.
